Xbox 360 hard drives get colorful

Posted in Xbox 360 by Conner Flynn on February 17th, 2010

Your standard Xbox 360 isn’t exactly a rainbow of colors, but this could help. These Xbox 360 hard drive shells replace your drive’s boring gray shell and add some pizazz to your console. Each includes a bright set of LEDs under the surface, which illuminates when touched.

Apparently all the LEDs are red, so depending on the color you choose, it may or may not look weird. They’re available in blue, green, yellow, pink , clear and smoky black for just $18.91.

Pong anti-radiation cellphone case

Posted in Mobile Accessories by Conner Flynn on February 10th, 2010

From the fine folks at Pong Research(They haven’t done much since testing Pong consoles in the late seventies apparently) come these anti-radiation cases for the iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS and Blackberry Curve… Despite the fact that radiation from cellphones has not yet been proven to harm people.

The Pong anti-radiation cases are mostly made of silicone, with a “Pong gold PCB module” embedded in the case. Apparently the module has been proven to reduce the radiation from an iPhone into a user’s head to “a third of what it would be without the case.”

New iPhone to feature touch sensitive casing?

Posted in iPhone by Conner Flynn on January 14th, 2010

The rumors surrounding Apple’s new iPhone just won’t stop. The latest rumor suggests that Apple might have something in the works regarding the iPhone’s casing. It might be a touch-sensitive case, similar to the case that the Apple Magic Mouse has.

If true, this could change the device big time. It won’t be so great for those third-party iPhone protector casings, which would block the touch function.

This is quite a site to behold. It’s a functional Mac mini, JBL Spot subwoofer and WMF1 coffeemaker shoved into a defunct iMac DV case. And it’s called the iMac CS. It’s bizarre, yet beautiful, like a gift from the Apple store in heaven. Klaus Diebel has done an amazing job.

Yes it’s a coffee-making media server with its own sound system. A custom version will cost you about €300 (or $431), but you can probably build your own for less money.

One of the cases is the Bamboo One mid-tower case. The front bezel of the case is made from bamboo, as is the side vent cover. The wood looks really good but they should have cut the drive bay covers from the same piece so the grain and color matched.
