The image above is from the Video Game section of Target’s online storefront announcing “free shipping” on a $299.99 Xbox 360 250GB console with Kinect bundle. Pretty sweet. But if you click you’ll find the regular $399.99 price tag.

So it looks like retailers are getting ready for price drops on the 250GB Kinect bundle before E3. Either that or it could just be a mistake? We should know soon either way. Our money is on a price drop.

Posted in Nintendo 3DS by Conner Flynn on May 26th, 2011

Australia is getting a special edition of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D. The Australian Ocarina Bundle is available exclusively as a pre-order bonus from EB Games. It includes an actual Ocarina, and some sheet music to play music from the game.

Once again Nintendo favors another country with some goodies that we can’t get on our shores. It’s enough to make a Nintendo fan sad enough to play the blues on his Ocarina. If he had one anyway.

With the included copy of New Super Mario Bros it will cost you $199. Also the new 25th Anniversary red DSi XL bundle Nintendo announced last month is official too, at $179. All three launch in a few weeks, on November 7.

Wii Remote Plus leaked in FlingSmash bundle?

Posted in Wii by Conner Flynn on September 24th, 2010

We’ve been waiting for a Wiimote with built-in MotionPlus for a while. Nyko already offers the Wand+ with the MotionPlus gyros built-in. But Nintendo has been taking the slow approach. Now we have spotted this upcoming first party, MotionPlus-required FlingSmash title on a GameStop order page with “Wii Remote Plus inside!”.

However, the product description still mentions attaching the MotionPlus “accessory” to your Wii Remote, but the Wiimote in the picture looks a bit different, with some curved text below the Wii logo. A spokesperson said the Wii Remote Plus “is real” but “We have nothing to announce on this at the moment.”.

250GB Xbox Kinect bundle spotted on 4GB bundle packaging

Looks like we can expect another Xbox 360 bundle soon. The bundle has not yet been announced, but a 250GB Xbox 360/Kinect bundle can be seen on Microsoft’s Australian packaging for the 4GB Xbox 360 / Kinect box.

The 250GB bundle looks similar to the 4GB bundle, with a larger capacity hard drive, a glossy finish, and it includes a headset. We aren’t sure what game comes with the bundle, but it’s most likely Kinect Adventures.

Wal-Mart offering $199 Kinect Bundle, Kinect games for $60

Posted in Xbox 360 by Conner Flynn on July 13th, 2010

It has been pretty much confirmed that Microsoft’s Kinect will be priced at $150. But what we didn’t know is that the games are going to sell for $60, and none come bundled with the hardware. This new Wal-Mart preorder bundle for the Kinect hardware, one game of your choice and a $30 online-only gift card for $199 also shows games like Kinect Adventures and Joyride listing for $60.

I’m guessing that is probably about twice as much as you expected. Floored us too. So you are expected to drop $210 for the hardware and a single game. That’s ridiculous. At least one game should come with it.

PlayStation 3 is HDTV ready with a Father’s Day bundle

Posted in PS3 by Conner Flynn on June 3rd, 2010

The PS3 was technically never capable of playing games or movies in high definition right out of the box, but with this special Father’s Day PS3 bundle, it is. There’s an HDMI cable packed in. Of the many PlayStation 3 bundles so far, none have come with anything other than standard composite cables, requiring add-on component cables for 720p/1080i or an aftermarket HDMI cable for 1080p.

Your dad can rest easy knowing that he can enjoy LittleBigPlanet or a Blu-ray movie on his HDTV without having to run out and get the proper cables.
