Tokyoflash Kisai Broke watch looks like broken stained glass

Posted in Watches by Conner Flynn on April 28th, 2010

Love it or hate it, Tokyoflash makes unique watches. The face of the watch looks like broken stained glass, which is probably why it’s called the Kisai Broke. This one is also USB rechargeable, so no replaceable batteries, which is always a hassle.

It’s a Tokyoflash design, so it won’t be easy to read. But you don’t buy it to tell the time. You buy it to make a statement on your wrist. The Kisai Broke is available for $168 over at Tokyoflash now.

Posted in Apple by Conner Flynn on February 4th, 2010

It sucks getting stuck with any broken device. If you’re a Mac fan, being stuck with a broken 27-inch iMac will make you want to cry. Many have been waiting and hoping that Apple sorts out their display issues. Too many people have been affected.

If you are having problems, it looks like there may be a silver lining in your darkened Mac cloud. Apparently Apple is giving customers in the US 15% refund bonuses. Keep in mind that 15% on a $2000 machine is roughly $300. That isn’t bad at all.

Actual video of a Wiimote to the TVThis is the funniest thing I’ve seen all day. We’ve seen tons of tons pics of the aftermath of what an LCD TV looks like after it’s had a Wiimote encounter of the nerd kind, but I’m thinking this may be the first actual recorded instance of the phenomenon. It’s captivating.

The dude is playing Wii Bowling real close to the TV. When the carnage takes place, the first thing he does is call for his mama, then he touches the TV and gives it a few gentle nudges, no doubt believing that this will somehow make it all right again. Again he calls for his mama. Video below.

Dead iPod becomes a mouse
Dead iPod? Why not give it new life as a mouse by reincarnating it into an iMouse. This iPod had been run over by a car, so the modder took the Gentlemen we can rebuild it route, by doing just that.

It’s a fully-functioning mouse, with the buttons screen was too messed up so he just has paper in place of it. Imagine what else you could do here. Your mouse could pump out tunes or provide an extra screen for your computer if you kept the screen working.

Passive Aggressive vending machine
Everybody’s had one of those days where nothing seems to go your way, everyone seems like they’re against you and you just need to blow off some steam. Vent a bit of anger. But so many destructive things are frowned upon in our culture. How does one work out some frustration?

Artist Yarisa Kublitz has the answer. It’s a simple and elegant solution that keeps you out of trouble. Just use the Passive Aggressive Vending Machine that comes filled with fine China. If you need to release your anger, just feed it a coin, select the object you want to break and gravity will do the rest, breaking it into hundreds of pieces. There’s just something satisfying about breaking stuff. And hey, those people who work out their issues by actually putting things back together could get in on this too.
