Once again Facebook has denied yet another rumor that a FB-branded handset is coming. There will be no facebook HTC device. Facebook addicts will just have to wait and hope.

Dan Rose, head of business development at the company, came forward with the following statement: “This is really just another example of a manufacturer who has taken our public APIs (application programming interfaces) and integrated them into their device in an interesting way. The rumors around there being something more to this HTC device are overblown.”

We’ve seen lots of different branding on Xboxs, but it’s never been a close encounter of the ESPN kind. Well, until now. Engadget was sent this mockup of an ESPN Xbox 360, which the tipster found on a Microsoft PR server.

It could be just a failed concept, however given the fact that ESPN 3 is live on the Xbox 360 Fall 2010 Dashboard Update, it makes sense for the two companies to merge in such a way. We’ll just have to wait and see if this gets real.

A Kenyan cellphone company has released a Barack Obama-branded cellphone. The red and blue cellphone is covered with fun phrases like “Yes We Can” all over it. The company, Mi Phone, is calling it the Mi-Obama. It’ll cost around $30 there. You may or may not know, Obama’s father was born in Kenya.

Needless to say they are a hot seller. The product in it’s first week of availability has already sold over 1000 units in Nairobi alone. The Director of Mi-Fone says, “The coming of the new President of the USA is an auspicious moment for all Kenyans and the people of Africa. It is our pleasure to be able to launch the Mi-Obama phone as a memento that will always stay within the user’s hearts and minds”.

Apples new endeavor that is sure to win Greenpeace’s heart? Just some people attaching decals to the fruit before they ripen. Could have something to do with some new Mac/Supermarket cult I suppose.
