First Samsung Slider for Boost Mobile Shows Up |
It was thought that Samsung’s SPH-M930 would be coming to Sprint as the followup to the mid-range Transform (SPH-M920), but now it looks like this model will be landing at Sprint-Nextel’s prepaid operator Boost Mobile.
This device runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread, a 1GHz MSM8655 SoC from Qualcomm, up to an HVGA-resolution display and a camera as low as two megapixels. The M930 has picked up its Bluetooth and Wi-Fi certifications, but hasn’t received FCC approval, so it’s probably still a month or two from release.





Boost Mobile is the pre-paid division of Sprint and the company offers several handsets all sans contract. Boost has announced that it is getting its first touchscreen phone with a slide out QWERTY keyboard in a few weeks.
Boost Mobile is a pre paid phone service that uses the Sprint network for 3G data and voice service. The company sells lots of different devices for users to choose from and plans can be purchased that include unlimited data, voice, and texting.
Pre-paid handsets are very popular with many consumers thanks to no contracts and lower overall costs for the most part compared to normal cellular plans. The only big drawback is that you typically can’t get the latest and greatest handsets on pre-paid plans.
Boost Mobile is introducing to its line up of pay as you go mobile handsets the rugged new Motorola i335. The phone will cost you around $60.
