Today Sony unveiled a new VAIO FZ series laptop which packs a Blu-Ray disc player along with a 15.4 inch widescreen display. This combination results in a lightweight multimedia notebook that can play movies in 1080 HD resolution as well as record and play back personal content on the Blu-Ray media.
Aside from the hi-def player, this new premium model of the VAIO FZ comes with a Centrino Duo processor, a built-in 802.11n wireless LAN and Windows Vista Home Premium. The laptop also has a built-in camera and microphone and support for an ExpressCard to help with those large file transfers.

In case you have been in a cave the last few days, Sony released it’s next generation game console to United States customers yesterday at stores across the country, and like the PS3 sales in Japan only a week ago, the consoles were reportedly gone in a matter of minutes. Sony geared up to be able to offer 400,000 PS3 consoles to the US market for the launch date, and Sony wants to have 1 million available to US customers by the end of the year.
