Turn your blinds into an air conditioner

Turn your blinds into an air conditionerThe Briz is a concept air conditioner that dreams big while keeping the form factor small. Small as in the size of blinds. Blinds usually just block out the sun, but when these blinds are open they keep the air inside cool. Neat idea.

It uses water-filled tubes that run beneath the bottom part of the blinds to emit a dry mist into the airflow. As the water evaporates, it absorbs heat and cools down the surrounding area. Your blinds can’t do that. Your Google blinds can’t even do that.

Blinds with web 2.0 logos

Blinds with web 2.0 logosNets2go has a new set of 9 custom-made wood blinds, but they’re not the kind you find in home decor stores. They feature Web 2.0 logos. You can get them in Google flavor, Firefox, YouTube, Digg, Stumbleupon, Facebook, even Wordpress. Just be warned, being this geeky could cost you your marriage.

In fact, these blinds have an interesting story. Net2go manufactured the entire set for a customer who separated from his wife a couple of weeks after installing these blinds, because “She doesn’t understand the intense geek in me”. Maybe he should have added match.com into the mix.
