Posted in Wii by Conner Flynn on October 27th, 2009

Black Nintendo Wii bundle on Amazon UK, £164.99That black Nintendo Wii bundle that we in the US are not getting is hitting Europe on November 6th has shown up on Amazon UK.

The price is £179.99 but Amazon has it for £164.99, which is about $269. Adding to the mystery of this whole Black Wii saga, the identical bundle in white doesn’t have that £15 discount, but Amazon is sweetening the deal with your choice of two free titles, including FIFA10. There’s still the £142.99 white, non-bundled Wii of course. for a lot less.

Red and Black XBox 360 controller for your XBox 360 EliteThis black and red X-Box 360 Controller reminds us of Thrustmaster’s Ferrari controllers, without all of the logos. If your X-Box 360 could use a little flair, why not get this bold controller.

It’s an official release from Microsoft and will be available on October 15th. This would go well with the all black X-Box Elite or even the Resident Evil console. The X-Box 360 Controller & Charger retails for $69.99 at GameStop. Looks kinda spider-like.

The black Wii has a black box

Posted in Wii by Conner Flynn on July 14th, 2009

Black Wii has a black boxThe elusive black Wii has shown itself off a few times recently and with the August 1st launch date in Japan approaching, its back in the spotlight. Now it’s showing off it’s sexy packaging.

Sure, it’s the same old box, just done up in black, but it makes the console all the more alluring, with a hint of mystery and danger. Like that time good girl Sandy from Grease suddenly transforms and rocks John Travolta’s world all dressed in black like a bad girl. Sadly we still have no word on a release date here, but we hope it happens soon.

Darkside Pac Man stapler

Darkside Pac Man staplerCheck out this Pac-Man stapler from the folks at Panik Design, who call it “Stap Man.” Traditionally Pac-Man is yellow, so we can only assume that this is some Pac-Man from a darkside universe. Hey, between the name and the lack of yellow, they’ve avoided any copyright infringement.

It will cost you $26 and it’s hard to imagine that you’ll be able to resist making wakka-wakka sounds as you staple. It also comes in white. Lame. It looks pretty hungry, so staple away.

Black Wii, blue controllers spotted at World Hobby FairAt this weekend’s World Hobby Fair, Nintendo had the blue Wiimote and Nunchuk on display, to promote Wii Sports Resort. They also were showing off that Black Wii we told you about earlier this month.

The Nunchuk has always been shiny on top and matte on bottom, but it’s much more noticeable, in a good way, on the black version. Even the fugly Wiimote jacket looks cool in matte black. The Classic Controller Pro looks downright awesome in shiny black plastic. This Wii items make the console look much more serious.

The black Wii with black Wiimote, nunchuck, and classic controller will hit Japan on August 1st for ¥25,000 and the ¥18,900 red DSi on July 11th.

UMID mbook M1 gets a matching keyboard

UMID mbook M1 gets a matching keyboardThe UMID mbook M1 has only been available for purchase in white so far, but there was once a time when the Atom-based clamshell was seen sporting red, pink, and black casings. Well, UMID has taken the mbook M1 and gone black with it. The Atom-powered clamshell looks much sleeker with the black keyboard. And you can take it more seriously too.

We don’t know when the full black model will be released, but it should be pretty soon as they seem to have tackled previous build quality issues.

Retroreflective vinyl turns stuff from black to white

Retroreflective vinyl turns stuff from black to whiteHere’s a great idea. If you ride your bike at night, hopefully you have reflectors attached so cars can see you and you don’t get ran over. Thing is, there is now a better type of reflector for your bike, as in making the entire bike a reflector. Did I mention that it’s invisible?

Impossible you say? Not anymore. It’s made possible by retroreflective vinyl. The material looks black under normal light, but turns completely and utterly white and reflective when a bright light, like headlights shines on it. It also gives you a two-color chameleon-like bike. You can actually buy it and do it to your own bike.

All black iPhone 3G debutsDiamond jewellers De Vere’s of London have unveiled the all black Apple iPhone 3G. The ‘Midnight’ iPhone 3G features a deep black bezel surrounding the front screen to match the rear case. The Midnight iPhone is exclusive to De Vere’s for £799 (USD$1199) or as a bezel fitted to an existing iPhone for £299 (USD$449).

The black Midnight iPhone was originally created by De Vere’s to show off the effect of diamonds set into its luxury De Vere Diamond iPhones. Then they realized how good the all black iPhone looked without the diamonds.

T-Mobile’s Motorola ROKR E8
T-Mobile announced it’s own version of Motorola’s ROKR E8, a delicious candybar which is shiny, sleek, glossy and black. Okay, maybe it’s not that much of a looker. Some features are: a 2 megapixel camera, 2GB of internal storage, microSD slot that will get you 8GB more, stereo Bluetooth, 3.5mm headphone jack, FM radio, and the morphing keypad that makes keys invisible like magic.(If you are in the right mode) Not a surprise that there’s no 3G, but T-Mobile customers are used to that. You can get the E8 starting July 7 for $199.99 with contract.

Enermax drops new keyboards in black and silver
Keyboards are mostly made out of plastic, which means that with few exceptions, they aren’t very durable and they aren’t very pretty. Which is why this shiny keyboard caught your attention. That’s exactly what Enermax wanted to do with it’s KB006U keyboard. It’s constructed from aluminum, so you are not going to want to abuse it by slamming a hand into it after losing to your opponent in a game.

The KB006U keyboard will be available in silver and black, at least in Japan on May 18th. It also includes a few USB 2.0 ports to hook up more peripherals. No word on price yet.
