Electronic Rock Guitar Bag Plays Music

Posted in Apparel by Reuben Drake on July 28th, 2011

Most bags just hold stuff and that’s it. They do their job and nothing more. Well, ThinkGeek has a new offering that puts a playable instrument on it. It’s called the Electronic Rock Guitar Bag. The name says it all. This bag plays music.

The music plays through a little amplifier that you can hang on the front of the bag. How cool is that? The guitar is played by swiping your thumb across the strings on the bottom and you can make real chords on the neck. The bag has room for up to a 17-inch laptop and has two large pockets and six small pockets with a zippered phone pouch.

Most adults don’t really carry lunchboxes, but as lunchboxes get cooler, you will see more of them packing a lunch since we are all geeks at heart. This R2-D2 lunch kit is pretty cool. Adults and kids alike will want to carry this one around.

It’s only $14.99 and measures 5¾” W x 5½” D x 11¼” H and even has integrated sounds and LED light effects. That beats the Lunchbox I had as a kid. The noise that this one makes will likely get your kid in trouble.

You’ve probably missed out on some good shots because it takes you too long to pull your DSLR camera out of the camera bag. By the time you do, the moment has passed. The Cloak Bag might just help you get your shot. It’s the “world’s first and only shoot-through camera bag”.

When it’s time to take a picture, just unzip the bottom of the bag, and roll it up. This lets you quickly take pictures with the camera, while still protecting the camera body. There are also slits on the side of the bag, so you can grip the camera and use the shutter button easily and the top of the bag flips open for viewfinder and control access.

Not sure why we haven’t seen this guy on more things. The Android Robot does fall under the Creative Commons license after all, but check this out Android fans. This cute little guy can’t be found in stores sadly, but we still want one.

Some guy got tired of waiting for Android Robot merchandise to appear and made this himself as a birthday present for a friend. It’s a hand crafted, one-of-a-kind, Android Plush Bag. Great for your Google phone or whatever.

Everki netbook bag turns into lap desk

Posted in Cases by Shane McGlaun on December 7th, 2009

everkicamber-sgThere isn’t much that sets one laptop case apart from another. Typically, as long as you can cram all your gear inside the bag and it protects your machine all is good. Everki has a new case for netbooks called the Camber that has a cool feature.

The feature isn’t more pockets or flashy colors. The special feature is that the case can double as a lap desk for your machine with an angled lid that holds the screen at a higher level for more comfortable use.

Live Luggage announces Hybrid PA motorized bag

Live Luggage Hybrid PAWhen I travel I go light with nothing that I can’t fit in my two allowed carry-on bags. My wife on the other hand packs enough clothing and stuff that she uses one of those massive suitcases that you have to check. Despite the fact that I pack light, I end up pulling my wife’s massive bag through the airport.

Last year a company called Live Luggage announced a bag for people tired of schlepping big bags around that has a battery powered electric motor inside to help with getting around.

BagTV is a lady bag with a TV

BagTV is a lady bag with a TVBagTV gives new meaning to the term funbags. Funbags will no longer be a term for a woman’s, uh, you know. Instead these fancy purses with TV’s on them will be known as funbags. Which is probably more appropriate. Before you know it all of the ladies will be toting the BagTV.

This model not only carries your favorite make-up and girly stuff within, it comes with a built-in 7″ LCD display, a DVD/MP3 player and supports digital photo playback. As with most of other girlly accessories, this model will come in a variety of colors and finishes to match all of your clothes. The battery life leaves a lot to be desired, as you might expect, rated at 2.5 hours.

HP reduces shipping materials by 97%, ships laptop in its bag

HP reduces shipping materials by 97%, ships laptop in its own bagIt seems like common sense right? Package gadgets in a way that protects them, yet minimizes shipping materials. Not only is it good for the environment, it will save your company a whole lot of dough. How many times have you opened a box full of Styrofoam and other unnecessary packing materials, only to throw most of it away? Apparently it took awhile for HP to figure this out, but they are feeling much better now.

They are selling the new Pavilion dv692 laptop in its own recycled material laptop bag. Other then that, the only packing material in the bag with the laptop are some air bubbles. They ditched the extra cardboard and styrofoam, reducing the packing materials by a stunning 97%. It’s being sold at Wal-Mart and Sam’s Club, but I think we’d all like to see this become a larger trend. Hopefully other companies are paying attention. It’s simple, economical and beyond time. I recently bought an Acer Aspire 6920 and at the time I was happy to find that the box was not nearly as full of garbage as I feared it would be. This is a brilliant move.

World’s first power assisted luggage for those who travel heavy

Live Luggage Power Assisted BagI don’t travel all that much, but when I do one of the biggest pains is schlepping all of my gear the 20 miles through the airport. Inevitably I am running through the airport trying to make my flight, making pulling the bags even less fun.

A company from England has announced the world’s first power assisted luggage that aims to make the trek through the airport and to the hotel easier by making the luggage pull itself. The bag uses a pancake wheel technology and an Anti-Gravity handle to put a major portion of the bags weight over the wheels.
