Pioneer offers up new 3D ready AV receivers

Pioneer is one of the biggest names in home theater and home audio not to mention the popular products the company has for vehicles as well. Pioneer has unveiled a pair of new AV receivers that are 3D ready and reasonably priced.

The new receivers include the VSX-820-K and the VSX-520-K. The 820 is Works with iPhone certified. Both receivers can receive music streamed from Bluetooth phones or MP3 players with an optional Bluetooth accessory selling for $99.99.

Sherwood unveils RD-7505N AV receiver with internet connectivity

I would like to watch internet content on the TV in my living room, but I don’t want to clutter the space with a PC. I would also like to upgrade my AV receiver to one supporting the HD sound formats the PS3 is capable of. Sherwood has unveiled a new AV receiver that supports HD sound and internet connectivity with no PC.

The device is called the RD-7505N and is compliant with HDMI 1.4 and 7.1 surround sound. The receiver is ready for 3D content, the device has internet connectivity, and users can surf the web using the receivers remote control.

Harman Kardon AVR 354 home theater receiver launches

Harman Kardon AVR 354If you have dropped big bucks on your big screen 1080p HDTV and Blu-ray player but are still rocking with the plain vanilla 5.1 surround sound you are missing half the coolness of many Blu-ray movies—the HD sound. Sure Dolby Digital 5.1 sounds pretty good, but wouldn’t you rather get the Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio goodness form your Blu-ray titles?

To do that odds are you are going to need a new AV receiver and Harman Kardon announced a nice one recently called the AVR 354. The 354 features decoding for both Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master audio and an on screen graphical menu and a new iPod dock called The Bridge II. The iPod dock allows docking of the iPhone and most other iPods and shows the iPod video, images and menu screens on your TV.
