Motorola announced today what it is calling its first portable in-car speaker phone and music system accessory. The new Motorola MOTOROKR T505 is slated to be available sometime early next year.

The Motorola MOTOROKR T505 makes use of Bluetooth wireless technology, connecting to a Bluetooth-enabled mobile. This connection allows the T505 to stream from the phone telephone calls and stereo music. This audio comes to the T505 and is rebroadcast on your car stereo via FM. A built-in feature helps you determine the best FM station for clear audio.

Today Ford announced that they have teamed up with Microsoft to offer some in-car software to enhance the use of digital audio players, mobile phones and multimedia in their vehicles. Ford Sync will be powered by Microsoft Auto Software and provide voice activated communications and entertainment in select Ford vehicles.

Sync is planned to be available in 12 different Ford, Lincoln and Mercury vehicles yet this year and will allow users to access their mobile phone, mobile music and will host almost any digital media player including the iPod and Zune, all from voice commands or from controls on the steering wheel. Integration will happen via either Bluetooth connectivity for mobile phones or a USB 2.0 port inside the vehicle to connect digital audio players and most media storage devices. Motorola has introduced a new hands-free system for automobiles that is designed to offer easy access to digital music and phone calls directly through the sound system in your car.

The Motorola Automotive Music & Hands-free System T605 allows users to use their Bluetooth-enabled Motorola phones or digital music players to stream audio wirelessly through the car’s speakers and take phone calls without moving your hands from the wheel. The T605 will pause your tunes when it detects that a call is coming in and resume the music when the call ends. The digital signal processing technology also detects increases in background noise and increases the volume as background noise increases. The T605 also features a jack for MP3 players that aren’t equipped with Bluetooth.
