Acer Aspire One AO751h |
In a not-so-surprising move that is sure to shock no one, Acer has launched yet another Aspire One. Anyone keeping count? How many does that make? Anyway, now there’s one more.
The Aspire One AO751h is all about helping “customers attain a new level of productivity and efficiency”. It features an 11.6″ high-definition screen and full-sized keyboard, Intel Atom Z520 1.22GHz processor, Windows XP Home, 11.6″ WXGA 16:9 ratio Acer CrystalBrite High Definition display, 1GB RAM, 160GB SATA hard drive, Multi-memory card slot, Wi-Fi connectivity, Built-in webcam and Three USB 2.0 ports.

Acer was among the first netbook manufacturers to offer a netbook with a mobile broadband connection at a subsidized price. Its Aspire One was offered over the holidays for $99 with a 2-year agreement on the broadband plan.
I really like netbooks. I think they are a great compromise between portability, price, and performance for the most part. I have worked extensively from a 10-inch MSI Wind and found it easy to do. What I am not particularly keen on is working from smaller 8-inch netbooks like the Acer Aspire One.
Netbooks are selling in huge numbers this holiday season. Leading the netbook pack in sales is the Acer Aspire One netbook. Most netbooks are created pretty much equal today, but the One provides a good mix of portability and price.
The netbook category is relatively new and is already getting crowded with lots of competition. The first netbook to show up was the ASUS Eee and it has spawned a wealth of competitors looking for a piece of the low cost netbook market.
