I can’t think of anything better or more creepy then this mask for your next Halloween. If I saw this face ask me for candy I’d slam the door shut and look around for Hellboy. Also great for those into bondage and S&M. It’s based on a real Soviet era mask and made from leather and brass. Pretty good work of art. I doubt very much that it still functions as an actual gas mask. It will however instill fear into all those who see it. So, basically if you own this you can’t help but become a bad guy and take over the world.

Looking for something huge, shiny and just oozing with that kinda classiness that can only come from things you saw on MTV’s cribs? I think I found it for ya. Nothing says class like giant chandeliers shaped like a handgun, AK-47, Skull and cross-bones and even a giant spider.

These are the handiwork of a company called Rock and Royal from The Netherlands. They’ve been creating custom chandeliers for people with too much money since 2005. This right here is a nerd dream come true. It’s not new by any means, the picture being from the 1982 San Diego Comic Con, but it is worthy of sharing since it shows that nerd evolution has been at a stand still for almost 30 years.

I’m guessing it didn’t score the owner any hot babes, but it must have been very satisfying watching jaws drop as the U.S.S. Enterprise rolls down the street. It’s really a sweet piece of work. If I could take a moment to nitpick over geek detail, the flag should be a United Federation of Planets flag and the seat should more closely resemble Kirk’s. I wonder if you can fix it with a tricorder.

This has to be the awesomest geek cake ever. It was Flickr’ user M.A.L.’s wedding cake, and it seems to have everything in the Mario world represented nicely. It’s got Toad, Yoshi, Piranha plants, mushrooms, even the Chain Chomp guy. The castle on a planet was inspired from Super Mario Galaxy. The cake was created by Beth from Let Them Eat Cake in Costa Mesa, California.

Why don’t people ever divorce with such style? They should. You’re getting the hell away from each other after all which is cause to celebrate. Marry with a Mario cake and divorce with a Zelda cake, that’s what I say. Or a Tetris cake, that can be thrown at each other.

Self-taught artist, Dale Mathis is a guy who, as far as I can tell from this piece, wants to rule over time…While mere mortals like you watch. The Executive Desk is a fully functional visual and kinetic desk, even has keyboard and mouse trays.

Each of his sculpture are uniquely crafted and come with a hefty price tag of $21,000 each. The question is, can you actually sit at this desk and not become completely depressed as you watch your life grind away? When you’re part of the evil Empire, you have to conquer worlds. Street by street if you have to. There’s at least one street somewhere, where they made a mockery of the Empire almost as badly as the Ewoks did. Maybe even worse. That AT-AT must have had a long shameful walk home.

This Hasbro Star Wars vehicle was customized by Graffiti artists EASE and JK5 under the direction of SUCKADELIC. It’s done in the Aurebesh language, a fictional letter system created for the 6 Star Wars films. It’s being auctioned off at Christies, so you probably can’t afford it.

These Alien tables are pretty awesome sculptural pieces. If Ripley went into the furniture business, this would naturally be the result. Who wouldn’t love to own one. Thing is, there’s no way this thing is in my house at night. Who wants to walk by this thing in the dark?

Interestingly, they’re hand crafted from recycled used car and bike parts, tools and other recycled metal, which makes every piece unique. They’ll cost you from about $300 to $4,450. They’re more than conversation pieces, they insure that your guests leave promptly after their business is concluded.

Whether built by King Tut himself or the work of an ancient alien civilization, this is surely proof of alien intervention. The detail is just too amazing. There’s no way they could have done it. And the fact that an ancient PC case has been unearthed…

This work of art was built from nothing by Chris Kramer a.k.a “Jadragon”, and is called the EgyptMod PC. There’s some amazing detail, like hieroglyphics, fake jewels and an awesome aged look. Check out the Eye of Ra made of brass and inlaid with polished malachite and verisite. The project took over 200 hours of carving and he never once wavered and cried out for his mummy. It’s a truly inspiring creation.

Jackson Pollock called, he wants his watch back. Lately, it’s become more fashionable to wear a watch that would puzzle anyone looking over your shoulder trying to get the time, then an everyday watch. Designer Denis Guidone came up with the idea that is simply named “Ora Unica,” or One Hour.

So how does one make any sense out of the scribbled line that occupies the face of this watch? Apparently, it has two circular faces, with the minute hand on one and the hour hand on the other. As time marches on, the scribble changes. I know, that explanation doesn’t really help. It’s crazy. I’m guessing it’s 11:40 or so in the pic. If I owned it, I know what I’d be saying. Time to get a new watch.

…In a good way. Mostly. TokyoFlash continues to surprise us with unique watch designs. With their latest, the “Infection” watch, they apparently had sickness on their minds. I’m not sure if I like it or not. On one hand the design is cool, but I look at it and I feel like I need to be quarantined. It’s like ill pop-art.

The time is shown with 12 red, 11 yellow and four green LEDs, and you can choose have the display animated or just show the time. The curved watch is stainless-steel and water-resistant to 3ATM and sells for around $135.

Kittiwat Unarrom has a master’s degree in fine arts and enjoys making body parts out of bread at a bakery in Thailand. Very realistic and disturbing body parts. They’re made out of dough, raisins, cashews and chocolate. He even paints the outside with edible paint to give it an even more gruesome appearance.

What do I think about it? I’m still trying to figure out why these bread heads look like Sontarans.(A popular Doctor Who villian as any geek knows) They’re horrible. And it doesn’t help that those aluminum plates look like collars. If these things come to life and take over the world, I just wanted you to see who your new masters were.

This boombox is an awesome mix of music and sculpture built into the body of a double bass by artist David Ellis. He incorporated a four-way stereo speaker system, two vaccum tube preamps, a Crown power amp, and a Behringer equalizer.

In case you’re wondering, there is no iPod dock, but it does come with one of the Apple players to provide a music source. You’ll have a hard time getting your hands on one, it’s limited to a run of only three systems. Which is just as well, since many of us don’t have a spare $15,000.

Vertu is a British-based company that produces luxury mobile phones and they’re celebrating their 10th anniversary with a special event. The company is launching another luxury series, called the Constellation Rococo Collection. The stylish devices are inspired by eighteenth century French art, fashion and the interior design movement by the same name.

The series will go on sale this summer and will be available in noir, scarlet, ivory and an exclusive sapphire edition. The sapphire edition has a cabochon sapphire for a center button, cabochon sapphire screws, and of course Rococo patterns engraved onto the bezel. No pricing available yet, but my guess is it will not be cheap.

I love robot art when it’s done right. That is to say when it is visually interesting and not just the same old thing. These awesome CGI images by Andre Kutscherauer are certainly awesome. Some of the works have titles like Brute Force, Selfillumination and Dandelion of Screws, and once you have a look, you can’t help but be very impressed.

Unlike most things these days, the work actually makes you think. More then that, it makes you think outside of the box. If you don’t believe me, go have a look at the artist’s site. This stuff is awesome. Where else can you see robots plugging themselves in?
