The Onkyo TX-NA809 is a 7.1-channel AV amplifier that features the Vida VHD1900 HQV video processor and Wide Range Amplifier Technology. It is compatible with a wide variety of music formats and has support for “radiko.jp”, which gives you interruption-free radio reception.

The company also provides the Onkyo Remote app for iPhone and iPod touch owners if you want to control it from a distance. The Onkyo TX-NA809 will hit Japan on September 6th for $2,041.

Fiskar’s 88 headphone amplifier is designed by Edouard Urcadez. It features a unique and sexy form factor, large volume / tone knobs, and a variety of rear outputs. There’s no specifications since it is just a concept, but we don’t care what it’s packing. We just want one.

The Phonofone III offers acoustic amplification for your iPhone. It comes from Science and Sons, who are offering the first batch for about $200. All you do is put your iPhone in the dock and the ceramic horn will amplify the audio from your iPhone’s speaker to four times the original level.

The first batch is limited to just fifty units only so if you like retro looking speakers and you want one, you had better hurry.

Onkyo released their new 7.1 AV amplifier that even features an HDMI 1.3 port. It’s called the TX-SA706X, and it offers five HDMI inputs and one HDMI output supporting 1080p video signals.

The device also handles Dolby True HD, DTS-HD Master Audio and provides a maximum output of 200Watts x 7, a frequency response of 5Hz-100,000Hz and includes Audyssey Dynamic EQ Processing. Now that’s nice and powerful. You’ll be able to get the Onkyo TX-SA706 on July 19th, 2008 for €1,120.

Marantz America is out with a few new home theater components designed to add a little extra pop to your personal entertainment options. These are the AV8003 and MM8003, priced at around $2,600 and $2,400, respectively.

The AV8003 preamplifier is, according to Marantz, a multi-zone processor and controller offering streaming A/V capability, while the MM8003 amplifier works with either a 7.1- or 5.1- channel system. Full details of both are found after the jump.

Putting a high-tech sound system in your car is easy. Making the actual car into a “sight of sound” is a little harder. Vox is well known for making the Vox AC30 guitar amplifier, the Vox electric organ, and other innovative electric and bass guitars. So, they approached George Barris to build them a Voxmobile guitar.
