Altec Lansing's InMotion Classic iPod/iPhone dockLook, a new ipod/iPhone dock in honor of Apple’s big event today. Altec Lansing has updated its InMotion line of iPod / iPhone docks with the Classic. It ups the sexy with sleeker lines and adds a handle, while going for the same $149.

It also features an auxiliary input, FM tuner and rechargeable battery, along with a remote and a “cubby hole” for storage. The price is a tad steep, but maybe the sound will make up for it.

Altec Lansing intros MIX boombox for iPod, iPhoneAltec Lansing has released the MIX IMT800 for the iPod and iPhone. It’s designed to resemble a retro boombox and features a built-in Universal Dock, horn-loaded silk dome tweeters, two mid range drivers, a 5.25” side-firing subwoofer, 5.25” tuned passive radiator and integrated digital FM radio.

It even gives you the choice of powering it using AC power or eight D batteries, which will give you some expensive portability. It also includes an LCD tracfor track listings, artist, album, and station, a seven-band graphic equalizer, dual top-mounted auxiliary inputs and a clip-on remote control.

All I ask is that you have good taste in music if you absolutely have to use this in public with your portable media player or notebook. We don’t know what kind of power the speaker has, but obviously it won’t be damaging many eardrums.

One of Altec Lansing’s newest digital audio docking speaker systems is the inMotion Moondance GLOW. This hippie-sounding bedroom system will cost you around $180 when it emerges from a cloudy haze in October.

The Moondance GLOW is called as such because you can choose a color and intensity and then project it onto the wall. It is a strange feature but, if it gets you some bedroom action, so be it. Besides lighting the night bedroom sky, this compact digital player-plus-alarm clock has two 3-inch full-range drivers to produce sound and a dock for your favorite compatible iPod.

Altec Lansing is giving itself a face lift today, unveiling a fresh logo and some interesting new products. One of these is the new Expressionist BASS desktop speaker system, priced around $130.

The Expressionist BASS system is what is called the industry’s first 2.2 desktop speaker system. Altec Lansing deems it such because the speaker housings host dual down-firing, radiating subwoofers built into each base. These 4-inch long throw subwoofers radiate sound off hard surfaces and reflect audio in a 360-degree field. They are teamed as well with two 1½” (40mm) drivers for mid- and high- frequencies.

Here’s something for all the girls who want some sparkle and shine. Much of the tech that’s geared toward women and girls looks pretty, but is lacking in the specs department. Not these earbuds from Altec Lansing.

These little earbuds feature enough Swarvoski Crystals to satisfy anyone who loves them plastered all over their tech. It has 9mm neodymium drivers and gold-plated plug for nice sound quality. They also have a snug fit for those with smaller ears and some passive noise reduction. Altec Lansing has them for $59.95, while Amazon is selling them at $29.95.
