LAVA launches Alpha keypad phone |
The folks at Lava International Ltd have come up with a couple of handsets called the Lava B2 and Lava B5 They look like a BlackBerry at first, but use Alpha keyboards instead of the familiar QWERTY.
The Alpha features a totally radical alphabet arrangement in fact, using alphabetical order. This would be good for those who use cellphones, but are not comfortable with QWERTY keypads.




Hitachi is back with some new LCD HDTV product lines in the form of the UltraVision and Alpha series. Ultravision features the best picture quality, the latest 1080p technology, support for up to 8 High Definition inputs, with five HDMI pure digital inputs. It also boasts a trim and light design that is easy to swivel for any viewing position you need, as well as an ENERGY STAR qualification. A built-in ATSC/QAM/NTSC tuner lets users access their HD channels easily.
Sony is preparing not one, not two, but three entry-level Alpha digital SLRs for a launch in the near future. A drop-down menu on the company’s UK support page gives it away, revealing the A330 and two lenses (50mm and 18-55mm) when choosing from cameras, plus an analyst’s Twitter update has also revealed the existence of the A230 and the A380. No details about either of these cameras.
