Alereon to unveil new iPhone Wireless USB accessory at Computex |
When I first heard about Wireless USB, I was excited that I could ditch all the cables behind my computer and go cable free. Unfortunately, my dreams of no cables in my office have not yet come true. One of the biggest companies pushing Wireless USB is Alereon and the firm is announcing a new accessory for the iPhone this month at Computex.
The accessory does two things for the iPhone and iPod touch. First, the gadget apparently has an internal battery that allows the iPhone or iPod to operate longer than possible on the internal battery alone. The accessory is based on low-power 90nm-LP AL5301 chip built in the 12-inch wafer plant owned by Samsung in Korea.
