Acer Aspire One D255 to ship with dual core Atom chip |
The Acer Aspire One D255 comes with a dual core Intel Atom processor: the Atom N550 netbook chip, each core running at 1.5GHz with 512KB of L2 cache. The N550 will support hyperthreading, so that Windows will report that you have four CPUs under the hood.
That should give you a good performance boost when doing processor-heavy tasks or multitasking. We can’t wait to see how this netbook performs with this processor.

This casemod combines the shell of an old SNES console with the brains and guts of a modern PC. Anytime we see a CD sticking out of an SNES cartridge, we can’t help but smile. Modders quangDX and DuPPs took an old Super Nintendo and merged it with an Acer Aspire One A150 laptop. They call their new creation the aaSNES1.
