It’s official. Sprint will be offering a subsidized version of the popular Dell Mini 10. The netbook will feature an internal EVDO Revision A modem for 3G access wherever you are, so you aren’t just relying on the availability of Wi-Fi networks.

Aside from that, everything else under the hood remains the same. That includes an Intel Atom 1.33GHz processor, 1GB RAM, a 160GB hard drive and Windows XP Home. Sprint is offering the Dell Mini 10 for $200, with a 2-year agreement with a $60 monthly data plan…after a $100 mail-in rebate.

We had heard that Asus was planning some ebook readers and now some new details have emerged. Executives from the company apparently confirmed that WiFi, 3G and WiMAX versions will be announced before the year is out. The ebook readers will apparently hit carrier partners in the US and Europe in March 2010, with prices that will be “competitive” with what’s offered from Amazon and Sony.

Previous rumors have ASUS readying two different sized readers, one with a 6-inch e-ink display while a second model will have a larger 9-inch panel. WiMax seems like overkill, but Asus apparently thinks it will sell well.

In case you were curious as to what the 3G capable BlackBerry 9700 looks like on a hardwood floor, here ya go. The device is rumored to have a November 11 launch date on T-Mobile, but that’s unconfirmed.

That’s about all we have right now. When we last checked in with this guy, it was before it’s heady days posing on hardwood and pouting at the photographer. Some of the rumored specs include: a new Trackpad, Quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE, UMTS/HSDPA, 480×360 resolution screen, OS 5.0, QWERTY keyboard, 3.2 megapixel AF camera and Bluetooth.

Looks like those of you who picked up the entry-level Nokia Mural from AT&T got the short end of the stick. Turns out, the device only runs on AT&T’s 2G network, instead of the 3G network as promised. It was revealed by an AT&T memo screen capture, and is being blamed on a mistake at Nokia’s factories.

The devices in question will have to be sent back to Nokia for a software re-flash. AT&T will have to send the devices back to Nokia by Sept 25th. According to a spokesperson for AT&T, those who don’t want a replacement can get an alternative.

There’s some good news and some bad news. We’ll give you the good news first. You’ll like it. Nokia is making its Booklet 3G netbook available for pre-order. Awesome, I know. However the bad news is that it’s only available in Italy right now.

To refresh your memory the netbook weighs 1.25 kg and is just over 2cm thick, with integrated 3G/HSPA connectivity and Wi-Fi. Other features include 1GB of RAM, 160GB HDD, and HDMI out.

Wayyyy back in November of 2008, we told you about the iPod Nano TV/VHS combo, which allows you to turn your old ipod nano 3g into a tiny portable television. To refresh your memory, this mini TV-set magnifies your iPod’s screen up to 2.8 inches diagonally. Your iPod connects in the back as shown.

Well, apparently this one is finally available. You can get the NanoTV 3G for about $29.50. We still think it would have been cool to slip your iPod into the VHS slot, but that’s just us.

The Samsung Honey Bubble 3G Phone sports a retro look and a name that drips with flavor. It also goes by model number SPH-W8700. The handset will be equipped with a 2-megapixel camera with panorama mode and video recording capability, video call support, and a DMB Digital TV tuner.

Some other features include Bluetooth connectivity, MP3 playback, a Subway Map, M-Commerce support, GPS navigation, a pre-loaded dictionary and a SOS Siren Alarm. Looks like this one is going to be Korea-only. Sorry rest of the world. Maybe next time.

The highly anticipated myTouch 3G (aka HTC Magic) will soon make its way to T-Mobile USA in early August. The Android-powered handset features a 3.2-inch HVGA capacitive touchscreen display and a 3.2MP autofocus camera with YouTube and Picasa uploading support.

Some other features include a microSD card slot with an included 4GB microSD card, GPS, WiFi, Microsoft Exchange support and supports quad-band EDGE, UMTS/HSDPA (1700MHz/2100MHz) connectivity. You can pre-order it starting on July 8th for $199 with a 2-year contract agreement.

Dynamism must have a pretty good sense of humor. Made us laugh. They have a $799 price point on their upcoming Viliv S5 Premium MID. Your $799 will get you the entry-level 3G model with a 32GB SSD, Intel Atom Z520 1.33GHz processor, 1GB RAM, GPS navigation, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, all powered by the amazing Windows XP.

If you want a 128GB SSD, you’ll need to add an additional $500, making the final cost a steep $1,299 compared to notebooks with equivalent pricing.

What’s this? A branded myTouch 3G? Yep. The first T-mobile branded MyTouch 3G shots in the wild. Can a launch be behind? Maybe. Who knows when.

According to the poster on Android Forums, this device was handed out by someone at Google, not T-Mobile. Not much else going on here though. It looks like a nice successor to the G1.

Ericsson is introducing the concept that routers can be sexy with the company’s new W30 and W35 models. Sleek, sexy and they will supposedly do 7.2Mbps down and 2.0Mbps up on three HSPA bands in addition to quadband EDGE.

Both models offer 802.11b / g and four Ethernet ports for routing high-speed WWAN data however you want. The W35 throws in two RJ11 ports on board for VoIP connectivity and should be shipping in early June. So make some room for it and wait patiently.

This rumor, if true, may be a sign that Apple wants to compete with netbooks or that in this economy, they don’t think that consumers will continue to pay a premium for the Apple name in the longterm. Either way, Apple may push the cost of the MacBook Air down while extending its feature set. Unnamed sources for SiliconRumors claim that an entry-level model will push the price down to between $1,300 and $1,500, or at least $300 less than the current model. Whether this would be a smaller model or just a price cut isn’t clear.

The same tips say that Apple will add at least an option for built-in 3G for wide-area wireless and may make solid-state drives standard on all models instead of a high-end option. GPS to locate the Mac is an option but “less likely.”

Somebody is always cloning an Apple product. I guess Apple should take that as a compliment. Here’s a fake iPod Shuffle 3G that appears to be large enough to be an iPod nano. We aren’t sure what’s actually inside as it weighs just 14 grams.

Well, we do know that it has an integrated FM tuner with audio recording, a phone book, and an e-book reader. Which is quite a feat as it has no screen. If you want to know more, I suggest you drop the necessary $23 and try to use it with ebooks.

On Tuesday Nokia added the 6600i slide to its roster. It’s Nokia’s smallest slider yet, with a 5-megapixel camera that includes dual LED flashes. That brushed-metal housing should get your slider some attention. It also has a tap interface for quickly waking the phone, muting alerts and ringtones, as well as turning down calls.

The phone accepts microSDHC cards up to 16GB and has both a 1GB card in the box and a combo headset, FM radio and mic. Expect it to ship to “select markets” this summer for 200 Euros ($272) before carrier discounts.

Part of the iPods success is due to the number of color choices the consumer has. If only the iPhone had the same colorful options. Currently it’s only available in black or white and is in desperate need of a color refresh.

Sadly, unlike Gaming handhelds, a color change won’t result in multiple purchases by the same owner. And so it isn’t worth it for Apple to produce them. There’s also the monthly subscription fee. Still, it’s nice to see what they might look like.
