iPhone 3GS announced: $199 16GB, $299 32GB, June 19If you thought that Apple was having a hard time unloading all of those new 3G S units, you can rest easy. The gang at Cupertino have issued some stats that will make Apple fans breath a collective sigh of relief.

Those stats show that they’ve managed to move a million iPhone 3G S units over the weekend. That’s right, as usual, like lemmings to a proverbial cliff, tons of buyers flooded Apple’s stores for the new smartphone. It’s all looking great for Apple.

Apple doubles RAM on iPhone 3G SThe S in iPhone 3G S means more than just faster 3G speeds, which is now 7.2 mbps, for the new iPhone. It also means a faster processor. But just how fast is the iPhone 3G S?

Well, thanks to T-Mobile we have the first official word on the iPhone 3G S processor: 256 RAM (that’s double the iPhone 3G) and a 600 Mhz processor. The chip is most likely built using a 45nm process, but that’s just a guess.
