Incubot 2GB USB flash drive

Like most disasters, the tsunami and earthquake have faded from the headlines and so faded from people’s thoughts. Just because it isn’t the top headline doesn’t mean those folks are just fine now. They still need aid.

Incubot, in conjunction with World Events Productions and CustomUSB, have created a line of Japan Relief custom 2G USB drives. These are limited edition, fully licensed, and in colors that honor the japanese flag. The best part is that 100% of profits go to Japanese Red Cross Society and to Safecast radiation monitoring efforts.

Trading cards: Now with an LCD and 2GB storage

Posted in News by Conner Flynn on May 23rd, 2011

The trading card is getting an upgrade, just like digital photo frames. Panini’s new trading cards will feature a small screen for video playback and 2GB of USB flash storage. They are a far cry from the trading cards we collected as kids.

Panini’s HRX (High Reel Xperience) cards aim to reinvent trading cards and hopefully change them forever. $20 will get you a pack of five cards. Random packs will have redeemable video card vouchers inside, which are just as rare as autographed and holographic cards. It will be interesting to see where this goes from here.

Yum Drive 2GB Twizzler and Bubble Yum flash drivesThese flash drives look good enough to eat, but if you try you are only going to break a tooth, even though they do look like candy. Both the Twizzlers and the Bubble Yum version look very realistic. And they’re better than the real thing since they won’t give you any cavities. Both are available now for $24.99 and will probably make you break down and buy the real thing.

Funko Star Wars 2GB USB Flash DrivesThese are not a set of new Mimobots. They are figurine like USB flash drives from Funko that make Star Wars characters adorable. Specifically Darth Vader, Yoda, Boba Fett, and the Stormtrooper.

These 2GB USB flash drives come with no pre-loaded content which is fine, because you are buying them for cuteness alone. The packaging says that this is Series 1. So there should be more coming soon. They’ll be available at Entertainment Earth in October for $24.99

The Green Man USB drive holds 2GB of data and basically amounts to a happy green head sticking out of your laptop, while the body is off doing whatever it’s doing. Probably humping your wiimote. It’s available for $31.

Flash Padlock secures USB drive data with keypad

Corsair Flash PadlockProving USB drives can both be ugly and functional Corsair rolled out today the Flash Padlock. This manual security code dependent device is available in 1GB ($30) and 2GB ($40) capacities.

What is perhaps most interesting about the Corsair Flash Padlock is that you can set a PIN up to 10 digits long for accessing the drive’s contents. You have to then enter this PIN on the keypad built into the drive’s body. The Flash Padlock also seems noteworthy for its security feature of automatically locking itself when you remove it from an attached PC.
