If you are a lefty, then you couldn’t help but notice that most modern camcorders just aren’t built for you, but Samsung’s HMX-Q10 is one that you can love. It features a compact design with a prominent record button right on the back for convenience.

The 2.7-inch touchscreen automatically flips if you hold the camera upside down. Other features include a 10x (2.75 – 27.5mm) optical zoom, a 5 megapixel sensor for full HD recording at 60i. You can have progressive at 720p. It will cost you $299 and ships in February.

Meet the new Xbox 360. It will launch today for $299. The old Elite will be $249 and the Arcade will drop to $149. The new console looks like a stealth Xbox in glossy black with touch-sensitive buttons. According to Microsoft it’s “whisper quiet,” with one large fan instead of two.

It has integrated 802.11n WiFi, five USB ports, and 250GB of storage on a removable hard drive, though it’s not the same drive as the old console, and older Memory Units won’t work, either. To upgrade you can use a USB-to-Xbox hard drive connector cable to migrate to the new box. What do you think?

It doesn’t seem like much of a prediction, but Wedbush Morgan analyst Michael Pachter foresees a new slim Xbox 360 hardware configuration before 2011 rolls around. More specifically he thinks that the new slim version will feature a 250GB hard drive with Project Natal bundled with it, without any price reduction or increase.

That means you would be getting the bundle for the $299 price point. Unless of course, Sony lowers the price of the PS3. Then it may go down to compete with Sony.

Microsoft’s Xbox 360 Elite just dropped to $299. That’s a pretty sweet price. But Microsoft wasn’t done. They’ve begun a new mail-in rebate program that brings the cost down to $249. That means that consoles purchased between today and October 5th are eligible.

We already knew that the Xbox 360 Elite would be replacing the current Pro model, but a new ad outted by Kotaku backs up those rumors and confirms that the Elite will also be taking over the Pro’s $299 price point.

Obviously none of this is official, but the ad shows the date for the price drop as August 30th, so we will likely hear from Microsoft before that date.

How time flies. It’s been about five months since Amazon introduced the Kindle 2 e-reader. To celebrate, or maybe just to move more units, the company has slashed $60 off of the price tag, giving it a US price of $299.

Now that it’s under $300, they should be able to move more of the devices. The e-reader market is getting more competitive, so it’s a good move. Question of the day. Now that the Kindle 2 is under $300, does it make up your mind to get one?
