Buffalo has unveiled a new, 256GB SSD. The company’s SSD-N256S/MC400 has a SATA 6Gbps interface, supports multi-level cell NAND Flash memory and will deliver read and write speeds of up to 405 MB/s and 223 MB/s, respectively.

Not bad. Not bad. Wait, they want how much? ¥72,200 (or $882). I’ll just buy a faster SSD for less money. Thanks anyway.

Dell Adamo Desire gets 2.1GHz Core 2 Duo SL9600, 256GB SSDDell’s Ultra thin 0.39-inch Adamo XPS is just days away from hitting online store shelves and now the high-end Adamo Desire is getting some upgrades under the hood thanks to some busy Dell Gremlins. In July, the Desire editions, which were available in Pearl and Onyx hues were $2,299 and shipped with a 1.4GHz CPU and a 128GB SSD.

Fast forward to the now. The same machines are available with a 2.1GHz Core 2 Duo SL9600 processor, 256GB SSD, 4GB of DDR3 RAM and Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. And the MSRP is the same. How about that? Dell just did you a solid.
