Funko Star Wars retractable earbuds

Posted in Star Wars by Conner Flynn on October 27th, 2010

The force is strong with these cute earbuds. They are the Funko Star Wars Retractable Earbuds. They come in Yoda, Darth Vader, and a Storm Trooper. Apparently, the earbuds are the color coordinated arms coming out of each respective character.

Who cares if they are total crap. I’d buy these just to have ‘em. Congrats to Funko for making earbuds fun. Hopefully they will come out with more soon. The collection of Star Wars Retractable Earbuds retails for $24.95.

Posted in Star Wars by Conner Flynn on August 12th, 2010

The Star Wars Mimobots are always awesome and now Mimoco has announced the sixth generation of their Star Wars line. The new sixth generation features Empire Strikes Back designs, which include Yoda, Luke Hoth, Wampa, and a Snowtrooper. The Wampa is the neatest.

Interestingly the Yoda version even has pointy ears. They all have digital files pre-installed and come in 4GB to 16GB capacities at a cost of up to $85.

TomTom Yoda voice pack is greatest Star Wars character use ever

Posted in TomTom by Shane McGlaun on July 9th, 2010

When that TomTom Darth Vader voice pack turned up, I wasn’t excited about it. I was never a Vader fan he’s evil after all. I didn’t like Yoda much in the original films, but in the new flicks he was pretty cool.

TomTom has unveiled a video of a behind the scenes look at the recording of the Yoda voice pack for TomTom GPS units. This may well be the funniest commercial ever.

TomTom Darth Vader voice pack

Posted in TomTom by Conner Flynn on May 6th, 2010

TomTom has announced a new Darth Vader voice pack. That’s right, the Sith Lord will now help guide you down the right path. The path of the dark side.

The pack is now complete and ready for download, costing just $13. Yoda, C3PO and Han Solo packs should be coming in a few months. Why you would want C-3PO I have no idea. That droid is annoying.

Coloud Star Wars Headphones

Posted in Headphones by Conner Flynn on March 10th, 2010

When you think Star Wars headphones you probably think of headphones that are giant Yoda ears or Princess Leia hair buns, which would be cool, but these are more down to Earth. Coloud has made three pairs of headphones that feature Darth Vader, the Rebel Alliance, and the Star Wars Logo.

Each is also styled to look like the name or imagery on it. The Darth Vader pair looks really awesome in red and black. The headphones feature 40mm power drivers, padded earcups that look like they pivot, a coil cord, 3.5mm plug, 32 OHMs, and they are one size fits all.

At last, you can fly your own X-Wing

Posted in Star Wars by Conner Flynn on January 11th, 2010

As a kid(Or even an adult) how many times have you tried to use the force to lift your X-wing toy as if you were Yoda extracting it from the swamp. Sadly, your efforts always fail so you heat up another hot-pocket and get back to your nerd message boards.

Well now you really can control your own X-wing, even if it isn’t with the power of your mind. The RCX4 Star Stryker Helicopter is a remote-controlled X-Wing with four helicopter propellers on board. It can hover in place as well as fly in all directions. But sadly I see no room for Luke’s action figure.

You used to fear Vader. Now you’ll want to cuddle up to him on a cold night. The drives cost from $40-45 for 2GB with a $10 4GB upgrade option. There are a few to choose from, like Yoda and slave bikini Princess Leia for example.

Yoda light-up Christmas tree topper

Posted in Star Wars by Conner Flynn on October 22nd, 2009

Yoda light-up Christmas tree topperThis is some extreme geekery right here. By placing Yoda on top of the Christmas tree, it allows nerds to worship their Jedi Master from below as is only proper, because you are just a padawan with a closet full of collectibles, while Yoda is…Yoda.

In the hierarchy of Star Wars Christmas tree decorating Yoda must be on top, just as Jar-Jar must be at the bottom. Forget the usual glowing star. Yoda has a light up LED lightsaber. Only $39.99 nerd points.

Posted in USB Flash Drives by Conner Flynn on June 29th, 2009

Funko Star Wars 2GB USB Flash DrivesThese are not a set of new Mimobots. They are figurine like USB flash drives from Funko that make Star Wars characters adorable. Specifically Darth Vader, Yoda, Boba Fett, and the Stormtrooper.

These 2GB USB flash drives come with no pre-loaded content which is fine, because you are buying them for cuteness alone. The packaging says that this is Series 1. So there should be more coming soon. They’ll be available at Entertainment Earth in October for $24.99

Golden AT-AT Walker iPod dock

Posted in Star Wars by Conner Flynn on February 24th, 2009

Golden AT-AT Walker iPod dockSure, that AT-AT walker from the other day was awesome and all, but what if you like your AT-AT audio to be a bit more modern? And gilded? Then this one is likely to be more up your alley.

It’s basically an AT-AT toy with an electronic turntable glued to the side and spray painted gold. For some reason a golden Darth Vader and Yoda are riding up front, while the iPod sits in the butt area. Surely this is what happens when the Empire goes all gangsta on your ass. You get a slow drive-by walk-by with this beast poppin a cap in you.

Yoda Christmas lights to rock your geek tree

Posted in Star Wars by Conner Flynn on December 14th, 2008

Yoda Christmas lights to rock your geek treeThese Yoda Christmas Lights are awesome. Hang them on your tree, in your cubicle, over your bed, on your patio, hell decorate your fake lightsaber. This string of Jedi Master Christmas lights is available just in time for the holidays. Only $29.95 for 10 light-up Yodas on a 10-foot UL listed cord.

The only way it gets better is if they talked. “Naughty or nice be you?” “Judge me by my Christmas lights do you?” Your tree will suddenly be filled with ancient Jedi wisdom. And just like the movies, none of these 10 light up Yodas will tell you that Leia is your sister until you’ve already kissed her. Wise, but useless.

17 geek Lego statues

Posted in Lists by Conner Flynn on November 23rd, 2008

homerWhy are geeks drawn to Legos? They’re fun sure. You can create original stuff and recreate almost anything imaginable. It probably has something to do with why the pyramids were constructed in Egypt. Humans just need to create. And since the dawn of time geeks have been the most innovative and creative. Here’s a look at a bunch of random cool statues all done up in lego. Statues used to be made from bronze, steel, gold, concrete… But the age of Lego is at hand.
