Good news for Mac users. Logitech has announced that its HD Pro Webcam C910 is now fully Mac-compatible. The HD Pro Webcam 910 is plug-and-play ready for Photo Booth, iChat and FaceTime. A free download will deliver integration with iPhoto and IMovie and allow video calling at HD 720p resolution. The Webcam will play nice with video calling clients like Skype, Yahoo! Messenger, and Gmail Voice and Video Chat.

Some other features of the HD Pro Webcam C910 include: autofocus up to extreme close-up range (7 cm), 10-megapixel still photos, Stereo audio from two mics, one on either side of lens.

Looks like we now have some pictures of HP’s 7-inch Zeen C510 Android-powered tablet. The stock Android user interface has been removed in favor of HP’s TouchSmart UI and there’s no sign of the Gmail app or Android Market, though an email client is included, along with Yahoo services like Mail and Messenger. Facebook is also onboard.

Nook compatibility should also be included since the Barnes & Noble logo was spotted. The Zeen C510 tablet might show up as early as late September, and it also might be priced at $399.

Well, it’s official. The Motorola Karma June 28th from AT&T. Feeling social? Good, because this one is a “social messaging slider” that allows you to chat and tag, friend and poke and post and message to your heart’s content, with one-click access to Facebook and Myspace.

Creative’s ZEN X-Fi player is different and it appears to be targeted at Apple on both the hardware and software fronts, according to leaked information by epiZENter. The X-Fi changes the look of the original ZEN drastically, with an aluminum-and-chrome look that seems to be inspired by the iPhone.

This new ZEN features a nine-point directional pad to take advantage of integrated Wi-Fi. Users will be able to IM on Windows Live or Yahoo Messenger, typing without a touchscreen or a full QWERTY keyboard. Another feature of the device is that it will have access to a host computer’s own content so users can play it in another room. And an Internet-based media pool of some sort will give users access to some content at other Wi-Fi hotspots. No official release date yet, but word is it will be in July.

This strange looking web camera from HP reminds me of an old desk lamp. It’s compatible with all the major video chat solutions, like Yahoo, Skype, MS Messenger, AIM. The cam clips onto your monitor and features a 3 megapixel CMOS camera capable of shooting video ranging from 640 x 480 pixels at 30fps quality on down to 1,600 x 1,200 at 5fps.

It also has a built-in stereo microphone, face tracking and Magic-i video effects software, 3 programmable buttons, and a sliding “privacy cover” so you know that it is really off. It’s pretty sexy.

Sony seems to have found enough success with its mylo Internet device to have unleashed at CES this week a new generation of the product. The updated Sony mylo goes on sale this month for around $300.

The Sony COM-2 mylo communicator, as it is being called, comes in black or white body colors and has a backlit, slide out QWERTY keyboard. Like its predecessor it lets you connect to open wireless hotspots to instant message with your buddies. You can also use it to view Web videos, take pictures and post them directly to a variety of sites, use widgets to do various online functions, play games and enjoy various media formats.

Today T-Mobile has announced the launch of the new Shadow mobile phone from HTC. This is the first of a number of Shadow-branded phones that T-Mobile has planned for the future as devices that are “designed for people who have lives beyond work.”, according to Robert Dotson, president and CEO of T-Mobile USA. The device runs on an enhanced version of Windows Mobile 6 which hides a lot of the usually interface from Windows Mobile and replaces it with custom menus and navigation. According to T-Mobile the enhanced interface makes the Shadow more intuitive and easier to use.

Aside from this slider looking just plain good, it also features a spin navigation wheel, 2.6″ display (not a touchscreen), microSD memory expansion slot, a full QWERTY keyboard, Bluetooth, 2.0 megapixel camera with video capture, media player for music and video, Wi-Fi and EDGE high speed data. The Shadow also has an enhanced version of T-Mobiles myFaves where users can call, email, text, send a picture, send a video or send a voice note easily from the myFaves screen. It even has some instant messaging clients built in, including Windows Live Messenger, AOL IM, Yahoo Messenger and ICQ.

Zipit Wireless, a developer of wireless consumer electronics, unveiled today a new Wi-Fi instant messaging device targeted at teens. The Zipit Wireless Messenger 2 is priced at around $150 and should be available in October.

The Zipit Wireless Messenger 2 is a portable handheld device which offers wireless IM connectivity with no monthly or per message fees and supports all the major IM platforms — AOL, Yahoo and MSN. It works with any open wireless hotspot and allows one to have multiple, concurrent conversations. Yahoo today put into general availability a new version of its Web-based Yahoo Mail. The online giant said it will also continue to make available the traditional interface many of its users have used for years.

Highlighted new features include the ability to send free text messages directly to mobile numbers in the US, Canada, India and the Philippines as well as instant message interoperability with Yahoo Messenger and Windows Live Messenger.

Today Linksys, a division of Cisco Systems announced its new iPhone family of VoIP handsets. Linksys has been a long time provider of small office and home networking solutions, and the iPhone series is intended to help the same market further take advantage of the internet and networking by combining VoIP, WiFi, Skype and standard telephone services into their handhelds.

Mobile phone giant Nokia and Yahoo! announced today that they will be expanding their partnership to include Yahoo! branded internet services including Yahoo! Mail and Yahoo! Messenger on Nokia mobile devices.

The services will be made available on Nokia phones running Nokia’s Series 40 platform. Series 40 is the software system that powers many of Nokia’s mobile devices. With Series 40, users are able to access a broad range of applications and features, including messaging, browsing, music and video standards as well as personal information management.
