Combine Collective offers sweet wood keyboard tray for Mac

Posted in Apple by Shane McGlaun on September 17th, 2010

I am an unorganized person by nature and don’t care for keyboard trays and other things that some folks use to keep their desk organized and tidy. I prefer to just set my stuff directly on the desk and work with what I have. There are a lot of folks out there though that want a keyboard tray and can’t stand the clutter.

If you are one of these organized sorts and happen to use a Mac, Combine Collective has a cool new keyboard tray made from black walnut wood that may be the best-looking tray ever. The thing is hand-made in Canada with water-based glue and a food safe stain finish.

We don’t have many details, but we do know that it’s a QWERTY slider that’s just a tad thicker than the iPhone, with a 5MP camera, and six hardware buttons.

Woodman wouldn’t confirm or deny if Windows Phone 7 Series would support Mac OS, but he mentioned that they are currently discussing it at least. A windows phone supporting Mac OS? Maybe. Sounds like crazy talk.

One of the cases is the Bamboo One mid-tower case. The front bezel of the case is made from bamboo, as is the side vent cover. The wood looks really good but they should have cut the drive bay covers from the same piece so the grain and color matched.

Wooden MacBook case is exactly what it sounds like

Posted in MacBook by Conner Flynn on January 19th, 2009

Wooden MacBook caseThis plain looking wooden case has been designed for the MacBook and the 15 inch MacBook Pro. It is what it says it is. A wood box to put your laptop in. The tree that died so you can tote around your MacBook in style will surely thank you for it. Anyhow, carrying around a rigid wood box with your laptop inside isn’t exactly all that stylish or hip, or comfortable I would imagine. Think of the eventual splinters.

The inside is even lined with leather, so now the count is up to one dead tree and one dead cow. It’s not that I’m against wood and leather. It’s just that you, our awesome readers, deserve something better then a plain old box lined with leather. No word on pricing. I mean, what do you price a box? Boxes are everywhere. So is leather. Whatever the price, I’m sure it will be way more then it’s worth.

It’s a wood and brushed aluminum keyboard that features real Scrabble tiles. The points score is slightly edited to show each key’s secondary function.

Everyone knows Scrabble and this is an awesome mod that looks like it could have come straight out of the game box. It’s a USB keyboard and the aluminum accents will very nicely match the Mac that it will be paired with.
