We’ve covered our share of Wii guns here at the brick. Machine guns, Pistols, even the Wiimote assassination kit, but I believe this is the first rifle that is actually three weapons in one.

The Sure Shot Wii Rifle was unveiled at CES 2009. It’s from CTA Digital and features a removable stock and barrel, three modes, and is compatible with nearly all shooting games on the Wii. That last bit is a big plus. You can hit the link below to check out a video.

Cywee’s motion controller is basically a 3D USB mouse, with a dual-axis gyroscope. It’s the first game controller to have one, according to the company. It can be used either straight up like a Wiimote or folded into a rough gun/boomerang shape. It’s interesting, that’s for sure and is likely giving the big N some ideas on future Wiimotes.

The controller is dubbed the CYWEE Z. It will be shown off at CES, but it seems that no one is sure whether or not the company’s game console will be there as well. making the trip as well. This might be an interesting one to watch.

eBay seller fordelite_76 is just brimming with confidence that you will bid and bid high on this auction for a custom Wii gun they created. I can tell, because he uses a lot of asterisks and the word AWESOME sandwiched in between. That’s confidence. And why not? “IT WORKS GREAT AND LOOKS BETTER THAN ANY OTHER WII GUN OUT THERE ..I HAVENT SEEN …”

Who could argue with that? It looks so realistic with the large white Wiimote attached bayonet style. I bet the thinking was that if you can’t frag your enemy from a distance, just approach and stab your TV Civil War style. Another strange thing is that in the pics the gun appears to be hardwired to the Wimote’s B button via a bent hanger wire that pulls the trigger. Now that’s craftsmanship.

Hack-A-Day builder TheOreos took a very real looking toy version of the Heckler & Koch MP5 and outfitted it with a Wiimote. What he ended up with was this cleverly named and ultra realistic WeeP5 pictured above, lovingly displayed with some family photos.

He wanted to build a zapper with all the buttons exactly where he wanted them. Obviously he did a fantastic job, it looks awesome and apparently works pretty well. He’d better hide this thing really good when transporting it, so he doesn’t get the SWAT team surrounding him as he says “Say hello to my little friend” and gets filled with lead.

Thrustmaster is getting in on the fake lightsaber game too with these Glow Sabers, which may arguably be the best take on the Wii lightsaber yet with their attention to detail. They actually resemble Jedi instruments of death.

The red and blue dueling Glow Sabers each have 17 LEDs and the Dual Trigger Gun comes complete with a Nunchuck holster. The Glow Saber 2-pack can be had right about now for $34.99, while the Dual Trigger Gun will be available shortly for $17.99. Pretty sweet deal.

Wood classes up almost any gadget. Even simple USB drives. But when you give the Wii a woodgrain makeover, the result is simply awesome. It’s as if the the old Atari woodgrain consoles merged with the Wii. Much better then boring Wii white. For now it’s just a concept design by Joe D, which is a shame. Nintendo would sell a ton of product.

Joe’s concept apparently has a layer of woodgrain veneer on the Wii-Mote, Nunchuk, even the Classic Controller and Nyko Perfect Shot. That’s sweet enough, but he also gave the controllers get some bright white backlit buttons and black paint to bring out the wood. Once you see design like this it’s hard to come back to reality and pick up your white wiimote.

Settle down now. I didn’t mention Batman or Spiderman, now did I? A Japanese joint venture between several comic loving entities will be distributing digital comic books to the Nintendo Wii through the Internet. Again, settle down. The service will be available to those in Japan only.

In fact, the digital content delivery service has already begun, and they are working on being able to transfer the data to the DS Lite platform down the road. This means that it’s only a matter of time until we can get actual Marvel or DC comics delivered to our Wii. And that is the most awesomest thing ever. But for now, just settle down.

The Wii has changed the face of gaming with it’s interactive motion controls. So much so, that every other console has begun work on their own version. Just as the Wii has changed gaming, gamers are constantly changing the Wii console itself, giving it all kinds of personalities. Here’s a look at some of our favorites.

If you’re anxious to get rid of some of that excess flab, you may be in for a disappointment. First Nintendo had a launch date of today, but it turns out that this was only applicable to the Nintendo World Store launch in New York. The rest of the out-of-shape in the country still have to wait until May 21 to get their hands on the Wii Fit.

Thing is, if you didn’t preorder a unit, you might not be getting on May 21st. Gamestop’s online store has them temporarily-out-of-stock, and Amazon stopped online preorders awhile ago, with 2.5 units being sold every minute. Your best bet is to get to your local video game retailer bright and early on Wednesday, since things are not looking good.

Wii gun controllers seem to have come out of the woodwork as of late with a number of them incorporating both the Wii Remote and the Nunchuck into the gun.

Another one to add to the list is this WiiMax Wii Light Gun. It has a place to mount and utilize both the remote and Nunchuck but adds a laser pointer mounted on the top which is powered by it’s own set of AAA batteries and can be removed if you want to try some free-hand aiming.The gun also features a handle on the bottom that folds down to use it like a machine gun or folds up to make more like a short rifle.

Nerf and the the Zapper now have a love child, thanks to a new partnership between Electronic Arts and Hasbro. They’ve revealed Nerf N-Strike for the Nintendo Wii and DS systems, along with a Wiimote-based Nerf blaster. Nerf’s Wii blaster isn’t the usual Nintendo Zapper clone. That’s because it doubles as a functional Nerf dart gun. Just stick the Wiimote in the Nerf gun grip and it becomes a game controller, or load it with a Nerf blaster module to fire foam darts at your friends.

The Nerf N-Strike games and the blaster are scheduled to ship in Fall 2008. There should be more details from Hasbro at next week’s Toy Fair in New York. Here’s an idea, maybe they can shove a Wiimote in a Nerf football and have it communicate with the Wii.

We’ve come across our share of Wii accessories, some cool, some odd, all entertaining. So we thought we’d make a list of some of the stranger Wiimote gadgets and celebrate this odd gaming phenomenon. So here’s a list of some of our favorite Wii items Wii either wish for or wish didn’t exist, in no particular order. The Wii sure has brought some strangeness to gaming.

When going for that authentic game feel, sometimes it’s not enough to just slap your Wiimote into a fake plastic(And often silly looking) gun. We’ll, the modder that came up with this one obviously would agree. And he did something about it. He lovingly stuffed the Wiimote’s innards into a custom-built Colt .45 case.

Why settle for the Nyko pistol when you can have a Wii weapon that will actually get you shot by the police? Very nice job, but I have to wonder if they are a tad too much in love with the Wii for their own good. After all, it must have taken some serious time and geek devotion to complete this project. Those hours could have been spent playing, with any off hours devoted to the search for some geek goddess who might actually understand their obsession. So goes the familiar tale of a geek and his passions…Truth is, sometimes they use guns to compensate for having a tiny Wiimote.

Another day, another Wii accessory. In fact, I am now making it a point to chronicle every Wii thing available for your enjoyment. If the Shark gun didn’t sink it’s teeth into your wallet, and the 8 in 1 Wii weapon kit didn’t give you enough weapons for in-game maximum Carnage, maybe this metallic Wii Machine gun is more up your alley.

Along with Nyko’s new wireless Nunchuk controller, the company is showing off their Perfect Shot Wii gun. There have been some complaints about the Wii Zapper being very clumsy, especially in the trigger area, so this should be a great alternative.

It’s very reminiscent of the original Wii zapper in some ways and also looks and feels more like a real gun, with a decent grip. The Wiimote goes right on top, it has an easy trigger and shoots well.
