This guitar hero controller is perfect for the player that shuttles his instrument back and forth between home and various friends homes. The NEXiLUX wireless guitar controller breaks down into just a few pieces and fits neatly inside a bag.

It’s compatible with the PS3 or PS2, but you can also slide a Wii-mote inside of it and use it with your Wii. The makers also claim that it has more responsive fret buttons than the cheap controllers that ship with the games. If you prefer touch over buttons, there’s a set of five touch-sensitive fret buttons too.

Originally it was rumored for an October release date, but then that changed to November 17th and sure enough Tony Hawk Ride was all ready to go on November 17. It will cost you $120 and the game/peripheral combo let you do all of the simulated skateboarding you want on the PS3, Xbox 360, and Wii.

European availability is December 4 with Amazon for $149. So go get your fake skateboard and park it next to your fake guitar and drum set.

Here’s something that will keep the spouses of gamers happy. The Xbox Generations Gaming Tower and the Wii Aspect Gaming Tower are two pieces of actual furniture that are designed to keep your gaming consoles nice and organized.

Both towers can hold up to 16 games, 4 controllers and the required guitar. The Wii Aspect Gaming Tower holds 4 Wii Remotes, 2 nunchucks, 1 classic controller and a guitar. Your wife will be happy that you cleaned up your act a little. Don’t you think?

Apparently no one told Logitech that we are in a recession. The Logitech Wireless Guitar Controller and Wireless Drum Controller for Nintendo’s Wii are licensed for use with Guitar Hero and way overpriced. The axe sports a maple neck, rosewood fingerboard and metal frets. They even threw in a “noise dampening strum bar and fret buttons,” and a touch-sensitive slider on the fretboard.

The drums provide 3 drum pads and a pair of cymbals, along with the stainless steel kick pedal. A Wiimote slides into each, ruining the illusion.

Between Rock Band and Guitar Hero, it’s amazing you have any room left in your house that isn’t occupied by plastic instruments. Do you even have room for DJ Hero? Probably not. But here’s a clever solution.

This retractable Rock Band/Guitar Hero controller from NEXiLUX can fold down to a tiny size for easy storage. And it still has all the buttons you need to rock out. It’s compatible with the Wii, PlayStation 2 and PlayStation 3. Sadly there’s nothing on a price or release date just yet.

OpenChord has designed a system that allows an actual real guitar to sync up with your Nintendo Wii to play Guitar Hero. Just plug the Wiimote into the guitar and use real strings and frets instead of plastic buttons. There is one hitch and it’s a big one.

Guitar Hero wasn’t designed for use with six strings and 22 to 24 frets. Which kinda blows the whole thing out of the water. Too bad. Playing GH with a real guitar sounds like a nightmare. Who would have thought? Check out a video below.

Online retailers Gamestop and Amazon have both independently put up listings for the DJ Hero / turntable bundle and both list the same October 27th ship date with a price of $119.99 for Wii, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360. The PS2 version will cost you either the same or $20 cheaper, depending on which site you go with.

Nothing official from Activision though. We’re thinking the prices and date are accurate. But until Activision confirms it, nobody knows for sure. Looks like four more months until you can get your DJ fix.

I have several game consoles in my home and between the PS3, Wii, and Xbox my entertainment center is very cluttered. My kids always leave games lying around and controllers everywhere because there isn’t much room to put things up and they are little slobs.

Cambre Products has announced a new game console storage solution that will work with any console system called the Game On. The storage system can be hung on a wall and has an upper shelf that holds video games and a lower shelf designed to hold the console.

Back in 2007, I went to E3 for the first time. 2007 happened to be the first year of the much smaller E3 show and it sucked so badly I never went back. E3 is going back to the massive show that gamers loved for so many years for 2009 and new games and products galore should be unveiled at the show.

One of the products debuting at E3 will be the You Rock Guitar. Right now, all we have are a few details, exactly what the guitar looks like won’t be known until E3 kicks off and the product is unveiled. What we do know is that the guitar will work for all major consoles and can connect to a PC as well.

Rock Band is one of the most popular games available on the Xbox, PS3, and Wii. The game lets average game geeks and music fans live the life of a virtual rock star and even if you don’t like playing the game, it’s great fun to watch your friends make fools of themselves trying to sing, play guitar, and drum.

Looks like the Super Famicon controller for the Wii was just the first such retro controller. Codejunkies is offering this NES-type classic gamepad that has the SNES’s four buttons for $20.

What’s next? We predict a new version of the Nintendo Power Glove, maybe a Mini ROB the robot that can hold your Wiimote. Once they redo all the old Nintendo peripherals, how about an Atari joystick for the Wii?

Some mods don’t make a whole lot of sense. Why tear out the innards of your Wii, just to put an N64 inside? An SNES in a Wii would still be questionable, but at least that’s an SNES. This inbred Nintendo creation is dubbed the “Wii64″, and keeps the Wii’s blue lights lighting up whenever it is turned on. The Wii64 is currently on eBay, where bidding began with $49.99. It’s somehow up to $64. What we need are more console guitars.

I have talked before about Rock Band and how much fun it is to play with a group of friends. I’m not the only Rock Band fan out there that likes to play the game. Popularity for the game is so high that there is a wealth of aftermarket controllers on the market for the Xbox and the PS3. You don’t see that many for the Wii though.

Mad Catz has announced that it will be changing that. The controller maker has signed an agreement with Nintendo that will allow it to build and market officially licensed Wii Rock Band controllers outside of Asia.

Faux rockers have waited long and hard for this day. At long last, Activision’s next installment of the Guitar Hero franchise is officially available. With Activision’s formal announcement, you’ll be able to pick one up and once again rock out. There’s a few different bundles that range from the game alone which will cost $49.99 to $59.99, the game and guitar together will be $89.99 to $99.99 and the band kit will run you $179.99 to $189.99. Since most of you already rock a plastic Axe, it will be a choice between the first and the last.
