Seven-inch iPad to have Retina Display, 128GB of memory?

Posted in iPad by Conner Flynn on October 7th, 2010

According to Taiwanese component suppliers contacted by Brian White of Ticonderoga Securities, Apple is not only working on a 7-inch iPad, but one that should have a camera, Retina Display and up to 128GB of storage. Current iPads are limited to 64GB of memory. The analyst was also told that the new device should launch in the first quarter of 2011, and have a “micro or mini” USB port.

The current iPad does support USB peripherals, but only through its 30-pin dock connector, which limits people to one add-on at a time. AppleInsider notes that the port may reflect the European Union’s establishment of micro USB as a standard for mobile charging.

CameraBag: Instant iPhone photo processingNevercenter, (the company that is always on the left or right apparently) has a solution for all of you whose iPhone/iPod Touch photography skills are a bit crap. Just mask the picture with some filters and you’ll look like you know what you’re doing. Some may even think that you are an actual photographer.

Just pull up the picture in the CameraBag App, put in the effects and save. You’re done. There are seven filters that do different things. For instance, “Cinema” creates film-like widescreen stills, while “Mono” smoothly grades the photo from black to white. You can manipulate things further using the options menu.

Posted in Mobile Accessories by Shane McGlaun on September 3rd, 2008

BatRest for iPhoneI like watching video on my iPhone when I am out of the house and need something to do to kill a few minutes. The catch is that every time I watch a video my kids want to watch too and I end up having to hold the phone far enough away that everyone can watch. Putting the iPhone flat on a table doesn’t work well.

Seskimo has launched a new stand for the iPhone, iPhone 3G, iPod touch, and other phones that holds the device upright in a landscape orientation. The stand is called the BatRest and is made from plastic and folds to the size of a credit card. Three different colors are available including translucent, white, and black.
