iPod Water Phone

Posted in Mobile Phones by Conner Flynn on June 3rd, 2009

iPod Water PhoneWhen you design phones while on crack, there are bound to be some bad results. The iPod Water phone, despite it’s name, isn’t waterproof and it doesn’t even look like an iPhone. These knock-off companies are really slipping lately. I’m very disappointed. I thought the idea was to make your thing look like the other more desirable thing.

The specs are also disappointing, featuring dual band GSM connectivity, a 2.2″ display, audio and video playback, Bluetooth support and a built-in digital camera of unknown megapixel count. It also has an integrated FM tuner to help you keep radio alive.

iPod waterproof music in a tube

Music Tube waterproof iPod speaker dockThis iPod speaker dock from Taiwan’s Nova has a transparent, waterproof covering that looks like a tube of some sort of lotion or gel, complete with a whole in the end where it would hang on display at the store. The idea is to provide a waterproof speaker system for your iPod that lets you bring it into the shower. It also looks like you might even be able to control the iPod through the case but in reality to us it looks like just a cheap way to try to make a waterproof dock.

Shower iPod DockThis is yet another iPod accessory that could really work with any MP3 player, but has been branded, colored and pictured with an iPod to latch on to the Apple gravy train. Nevertheless, this is a nice looking little waterproof stereo that lets you play your tunes and sing along to your own songs in the shower.

The music output is really the only integration this iPod shower dock has to the iPod player, or any MP3 player for that matter. The clear dome opens to allow the safe keeping of the player without …

Belkin SportCommand for iPodIt’s nice to be able to take your music with you when you are outdoors, but it is not nice when your iPod or any DAP gets wet or banged up from the elements and your “extreme sport” activities. Snow sports such as skiing and snowboarding are great examples of when you would like your tunes with you and not have to worry about ruining your iPod while you’re checking your hang time.

The SportCommand from Belkin is a rugged remote control that can strap on to the outside of your …
