Klipsch has introduced three new iPhone-compatible headphones in the Image One, Image S5i Rugged and Image S3. The Klipsch Image One is the company’s first on-ear headphones and features a three-button remote specially made for the iPhone, iPod or iPad.

The Klipsch Image S5i Rugged headphones come with a three button remote that can survive some moisture, but isn’t fully waterproof. Lastly, the Klipsch Image S3 headphones can be used with any device like an iPod or an MP3 player since it features a 3.5mm audio jack.

You could go for a plain jane iPhone case or you could opt for Magellan’s waterproof Toughcase, priced at $199.99. Two hundred bucks gets you IPX-7 waterproof standards, allowing it to be submerged up to one meter for up to 30 minutes, and there’s also an integrated 1,840mAh battery that can “double the life” of your iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS or second / third-generation iPod touch.

There’s also a high sensitivity SiRFstar III GPS chipset for quality GPS reception, and you can still access the touchscreen. You get all of that, but your device loses any sexiness it ever had and there’s no official support for Apple’s newest iPhone.

Pure is known for unusual and elegant radios. Unfortunately they have not been available in the US. Well, now Pure is correcting that oversight with five WiFi radios. There’s the Sensia, shown above which features a 5.7-inch touchscreen, an oval enclosure and access to the Pure Lounge: a portal that gets you into internet radio stations, Twitter and Facebook. There’s also an auxiliary input jack. All for $349.

The $449 Sirocco 550 is like a mini boombox with the WiFi radio capabilities, a USB socket, iPhone and iPod compatibility, a CD player and an SD expansion slot. There’s also the $139 Siesta Flow alarm clock radio and the $249 Oasis Flow, which is rugged and waterproof.

You typical iPod or other standard MP3 player isn’t up to the task of swimming or sports where shocks and bumps are apt to happen. You can wear a plain MP3 while you exercise, but if you get it wet the player is pretty much done.

Finis has announced its latest rugged and waterproof MP3 player called the XtreaMP3.1G. The device has 1GB of storage capable of holding up to 240 songs. The player is design for sports where shocks are common, like snowboarding, skateboarding, and cycling.

When you design phones while on crack, there are bound to be some bad results. The iPod Water phone, despite it’s name, isn’t waterproof and it doesn’t even look like an iPhone. These knock-off companies are really slipping lately. I’m very disappointed. I thought the idea was to make your thing look like the other more desirable thing.

The specs are also disappointing, featuring dual band GSM connectivity, a 2.2″ display, audio and video playback, Bluetooth support and a built-in digital camera of unknown megapixel count. It also has an integrated FM tuner to help you keep radio alive.

Well, not that deep. H2O Audio is known for their waterproof products, and here’s their latest way to bring tunes underwater. The iDive “Deep Dive” Waterproof Housing and Over Ear Speakers lets you enjoy your iPod and continue viewing/listening to your favorite media files up to depths of 300 feet below sea level. The integrated amplifier is powered by 3 AA batteries. The H2O Audio iDive Waterproof Dive Housing and Over Ear Speakers will cost you $349.99.

We’ve seen a number of waterproof solutions that allow you to take your iPod safely on the beach or in the shower but the Icebar V2 combination case may be the best one we’ve seen yet (and the most expensive). The case provides a waterproof housing for you iPod nano and built-in waterproof speakers for places where it’s inconvenient to use headphones.

The case does have a port for headphones if you’d rather keep your tunes personal, and also has a click-wheel membrane to give complete control of the iPod through the case. The body is made of a shatter-proof polycarbonate which allows you to easily see the iPod display, but just be case the case is shatterproof doesn’t mean the iPod you put inside is.

So, yeah, they basically took a bouy and put in some cup-holders and speakers. Oh, and an iPod dock. All for the outrageous price of $2000. Your pool party guests had better be paying at the door.

If you seek a way to enjoy your iPod nano at the beach without fear of it getting trashed by surfing and swimming, H20 Audio has a new case you’ll want to check out. It is called the H2O Audio iN3 and it’s being shown off at MacWorld this week.

The H2O Audio iN3, priced at around $80, is waterproof up to ten feet and the company recommends you pair it with its waterproof headphones. Features which keep your third generation nano safe from the water while still allowing for usage include an overlay control for the click wheel and a watertight connector which is for use with headphones.

This iPod speaker dock from Taiwan’s Nova has a transparent, waterproof covering that looks like a tube of some sort of lotion or gel, complete with a whole in the end where it would hang on display at the store. The idea is to provide a waterproof speaker system for your iPod that lets you bring it into the shower. It also looks like you might even be able to control the iPod through the case but in reality to us it looks like just a cheap way to try to make a waterproof dock.

Unless you are using a waterproof case taking your iPod into your spa is probably not a smart idea. Hot Spring Spas believes it has a solution for you though by unveiling its Moonlight Spa Music System.

The Moonlight Spa Music System, which includes an iPod docking station, wirelessly transmits music from any audio source to four weatherproof speakers which surround you as you make sweet love in the spa. You can control tracks on the iPod and adjust audio volume with a floating, waterproof remote control. This remote also lets you control most electronic spa features while in the water.

It’s always refreshing to see an iPod accessory that actually looks useful; case in point: the Boblbee solar-powered iPod case. The Boblbee case completely encloses your iPod protecting it in a waterproof, shockproof cocoon of safeness. The case also acts as a charger drawing its electricity from the sun for you outdoor enthusiasts, miles away from any power outlets.

It’s not the most streamlined looking case and will definitely add some bulk to your MP3 player, but it will also potentially give you continuous, uninterrupted listening time outdoors, sun permitting. According …
