Mad Catz gets exclusive rights to Xbox 360 wireless headphones

Mad Catz, the well known manufacturers of all kinds of video game accessories has just struck a deal with Microsoft for exclusive rights to produce wireless gaming headphones for the Xbox 360.

The Mad Catz headsets will feature Dolby 5.1 technology, but other than that we have no details. We do know that we can expect these headsets in stores this holiday season. Mad Catz should do very well with this exclusive deal. Maybe next they will corner the wireless PS3 headset market.

T-Mobile and LG unveil the G-Slate

Yo G. Check this. T-Mobile and LG have unveiled their first Android tablet called the G-Slate. The device is powered by Android 3.0 and features a dual-core Tegra 2 processor, an 8.9″ display, 32GB of internal storage, a stereoscopic camera that can do 1080p 3D capture, a 5 megapixel camera with LED flash, and a front-facing camera for your video call needs.

It supports 720p HD playback on the tablet itself and HDMI output for 1080p content on 3D and HD displays. The G-Slate’s 3D capabilities will also let users experience 3D HD content on the tablet itself if you wear 3D glasses.

HTC Thunderbolt may hit Verizon early

Verizon has hinted that the HTC Thunderbolt might arrive early. It reminded users that the iPhone is coming soon and also said that the Android-based 4G phone might come “sooner than expected.” No exact date was given.

Previous leaks from Verizon’s retail system have the Android flagship’s launch on February 14 and that could be the date Verizon is teasing, but it also might be moved up.

The Daily iPad Newspaper gets official

Rupert Murdoch has officially unveiled The Daily in the US. The iPad only publication is available right now in the US from iTunes. It will cost $0.99 per week or you can purchase an annual subscription for $39.99. So what do you get for that price? The Daily will feature 360 degree photos, and high definition videos for one thing.

You can also share articles from The Daily via Facebook and Twitter, and the application integrates Twitter feeds as well. The Daily will even be updated in real time with breaking news.

Cydle M7 MultiPAD Android Tablet

Looks like the FCC has finally approved the Cydle M7 MutiPAD. The device is a 7-inch Android tablet with a detachable stand, allowing you to more comfortably watch videos or surf the web anyway you want. If you are interested, the FCC has published the user manual and other information.

The Cydle M7 MultiPAD packs in an 800MHz ARM11 CPU, 8GB of storage space, 256MB of RAM, a 7-inch (800 x 480 pixel) touchscreen display, a 4500mAh battery and Google Android 2.1. There’s also a g-sensor, an HDMI port, a built-in speaker and 1080p HD video output.

HTC Inspire 4G hits AT&T February 13th

AT&T will start selling the HTC Inspire 4G starting on the 13th of February 2011. It’s the first 4G device to hit AT&T this year, but far from the last. The company has announced that they intend to launch more than 20 4G devices by the end of the year.

To refresh your memory, the HTC Inspire 4G comes with Android 2.2 Froyo, a 4.3 inch Super LCD display, and an 8 megapixel camera capable of recording HD video in 720p. There’s also a 1GHz processor, Dolby sound, and it will use the new version of HTC’s Sense.

LG unveils super thin bezel monitor display

You’ve seen those video walls that companies use to promote their products. Usually they have thick bezels to match their huge display. Well, LG wants to improve this video wall technology with the 47WV30 47-inch LED super narrow bezel monitor display.

It’s currently being shown off at Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) 2011. The LG 47WV3047-inch LED super narrow bezel monitor display offers a superior image without sacrificing convenience or cost efficiency. The 6.9 mm seam size makes it the slimmest on any 40- to 49-inch display, and it works great indoors or outdoors with brightness as high as 4,000 lux. No word on pricing yet.

Cowon D3 Plenue priced at $370

If you’re looking for a new portable media player, then the D3 Plenue from Cowon might be the one for you. It features 1080p video playback, 32GB of storage, Android 2.1 OS, and a 3.7-inch, 800 x 480 AMOLED display.

Sounds pretty good, but sadly the price is set at $370. That’s a smartphone price for a PMP. You can pre-order the D3 now, but we don’t know when it will ship. Whether it’s worth the asking price is for you to decide.

Amazon Prime users see free unlimited movie streaming

Amazon’s plans for unlimited movie streaming similar to Netflix seems to be right on track as someone has spotted the service in action. At least one Amazon Prime subscriber has seen options in the Video On Demand section to stream movies and TV shows, even major recent releases, as part of the $79 yearly subscription. The catalog seen by this Engadget reader had 5,000 titles that show in 480p.

Amazon hasn’t confirmed these plans, and the unlimited VOD may be a trial that isn’t immediately ready to go live. Netflix’s streaming-only plan has a larger catalog but also costs $96 a year.

New Blackberry Curve image and specs

It may be at least a year until you can lay hands on the Blackberry Curve Touch,but in the meantime you can drool over some rumored specs. The phone will be called Malibu and will have CDMA – EvDo Rev A connectivity.

It will sport a Qualcomm MSM 8655 800MHz CPU and feature a 5 MP camera with HD Video recording capabilities and a 3.25″ Display with 480×360 HVGA resolution. The rest are pretty standard specs. There should be a GSM version too. Both pricing and availability are not yet announced.

Flip Video camera with Wi-Fi shows up at the FCC

An FCC filing has confirmed that Cisco is developing a Wi-Fi version of its Flip Video cameras. The M3260 has been tested using 802.11n Wi-Fi along with the HDMI and USB connectors. The purpose of the wireless is probably to share video on a local network and maybe even upload video directly to YouTube or Facebook.

We don’t know what the camera will be like outside of the Wi-Fi, or when it will ship. It should be $200 or under to fit into the marketplace.

Korean music video shows LG G-Slate with 3D

Rumors that the LG G-Slate would go 3D seem to have been confirmed by a Korean music video. Seungri’s clip for “What Can I Do” shows the device for the first time outside of a press event. It appears to show the dual cameras that would be needed for shooting 3D video. Earlier rumors had suggested a glasses-free 3D display and that seems to be the case.

A recent FCC filing which shows two holes on the back also supports that it has 3D. Other details are the front camera, HDMI and micro USB ports and an optional stand. The G-Slate should be based on NVIDIA’s Tegra 2 and have Android 3.0 on the 8.9-inch 1280×720 screen and 1080p video when using the HDMI output.

Dell Streak 7 to cost $330 on T-Mobile?

So we recently heard that the Dell Streak 7 may be launching on T-Mobile on February 2nd, and now it seems as if T-Mobile will be selling the Dell Streak 7 for 329.99 on contract. Some pricing information was spottedon T-Mobile’s website which shows that it will be available for $329.99.

To refresh your memory, the Dell Streak 7 will come with Android 2.2 Froyo and will also run Dell’s Stage Software. It also has an NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor, and will use T-Mobile’s HSPA+ network which offers speeds of up to 21MB/s.
