Sony today introduced a new low-cost notebook line which keeps fashion in mind. The VAIO NR series has a starting price of around $750 and should be available starting next month.
Sony has teamed up with New York graphic artist Maya Hayuk to create two visually spectacular limited edition VAIO notebooks. The VAIO Graphic Splash Editions come in two models, “Grow” (pictured above, which suggests plants and other green living things) and “Never Stop” (the space trippy one of the pair). Regardless of which laptop you wind up purchasing the VAIO will come with a certificate of authenticity signed by the artist and desktop wallpaper that matches the laptop’s cover artwork. As well $25 from the sale of each laptop will be donated to a charity called “Creativity Explored”, a nonprofit visual arts center where artists with developmental disabilities create, exhibit, and sell art.
Sony announced today a nice looking all in one PC/television with Blu-ray Disc support. The Sony VAIO LT starts at around $1,900, with the Blu-ray model pricing at around $2,900, and should be available come October.
Sony has some new VAIO notebooks added to their lineup, this time in some new glossy colors including sangria, cosmopolitan, dove, indigo and black. Adding to the personalized colors that dress up the new VAIO CR series notebooks, they also have an optional matching bag and mouse, a custom keyboard configuration and font, and a unique matching wallpaper.
Today Sony unveiled a new VAIO FZ series laptop which packs a Blu-Ray disc player along with a 15.4 inch widescreen display. This combination results in a lightweight multimedia notebook that can play movies in 1080 HD resolution as well as record and play back personal content on the Blu-Ray media.
Sporting a spherical form factor measuring 10.63″ in diameter and 3.58″ high, the Sony VAIO TP1 Living Room PC is a bold new approach to home PC design. Promoted as a “Living Room PC”, the TP1 was made to blend with your home decor and allow you to surf the web and watch live and pre-recorded TV shows from the comfort of your sofa.
