The new Motorola Droid X2 should go on sale later this month much to our delight and maybe it will happen on the rumored date of May 26th, next Thursday. So if you are waiting and want to acquaint yourself with the device, the Droid X 2 manual has appeared online on Motorola’s support site and it confirms some of the new Droid X2′s specifications.

To refresh your memory the Motorola Droid X2 will feature a dual core 1GHz processor, a 4.3 inch qHD display with a resolution of 960 x 540 pixels, and an 8 megapixel camera.

Verizon has finally released the long-awaited over-the-air software update for the popular HTC Thunderbolt. Right now the update needs to be downloaded manually and it brings with it several important fixes that users will appreciate. There’s a fix for data problems when accessing Verizon’s 3G network and it will also stabilize the performance of data-heavy apps.

GPS updates are said to be faster when using Google Maps and VZ Navigator with the update. Also, SMS and MMS messages will be stored properly and location information in the Weather Widget will now display accurate information.

Looks like the FCC has finally approved the Cydle M7 MutiPAD. The device is a 7-inch Android tablet with a detachable stand, allowing you to more comfortably watch videos or surf the web anyway you want. If you are interested, the FCC has published the user manual and other information.

The Cydle M7 MultiPAD packs in an 800MHz ARM11 CPU, 8GB of storage space, 256MB of RAM, a 7-inch (800 x 480 pixel) touchscreen display, a 4500mAh battery and Google Android 2.1. There’s also a g-sensor, an HDMI port, a built-in speaker and 1080p HD video output.

Need to make a fake call? Well, there are apps for that, but now at least one phone manufacturer is actually offering this feature built into their phone. In Samsung’s user manual, there is a section that explains how to make a fake call “when you want to get out of meetings or unwanted conversations.”

Very helpful. This feature probably won’t sway you to buy a Samsung phone, but it’s nice to know they have your back when it comes to dodging meetings.

iFixit has imported its free repair guides to the iPad with a native app, Repair Manual. The utility will give you access to thousands of guides for MacBooks, iOS devices, game consoles, a wide array of digital cameras, and cell phones. Now that will definitely come in handy.

Users can view step-by-step instructions for disassembly and component replacement, with individual guides focusing on specific problems. The app features high-resolution images with each step, making it easy.

The folks over at the FCC have let some pictures and details slip about the upcoming BlackBerry 8980, a device that seems to be a successor to the Curve 8900. The phone pictured above will boast a quad-band GSM antenna, Wi-Fi b/g/n, and a 3.2-megapixel camera with flash.

And according to the user manual, it will be powered by BlackBerry OS 5. The device looks very similar to the BlackBerry 9700, which is a popular BB version, so that’s probably good news.

Better move that coffee table out of the way. If you have a super small living room, you better re-arrange it. If you plan on using the Kinect that is. Some pages from the upcoming Kinect’s user manual have surfaced, and it confirms what some folks have been worrying about. That you will need some spare space.

The manual suggests that players stand about six feet away from the sensor to be visible. If there are two people playing, they should stand eight feet away. It won’t be an issue for many of us, but if you have a small room it could be a problem.

It draws heavily from the iPad version of Twitter, giving you a two-column design and making navigation easier. That’s not all. Photo hosting sites like Flickr, TwitPic, Yfrog, and video hosts like Ustream and YouTube will now be able to have their content embedded in a format that’s friendly to both computers and tablets.

An infinite scroll feature will load older updates on the fly instead of having to manually click for them. The updated page is going live tonight as part of a limited preview, so not everyone will see it. Everyone should be able to access the updated site over the next few weeks though.

Business users who do a lot of presentations know that schlepping a normal projector around the city or an airport is no fun. The new glut of small pocket and pico projectors coming to the market promise a lot more portability, but they give up a lot in performance.

Toshiba has unveiled a new pocket projector called the Lumileo P100 that is your typical small projector. It measures 116 x 50 x 18mm and weighs 96g with the battery inside. The small projector only has 14 lumens and needs a dark room to throw its maximum 65-inch image.

Thanks to the FCC we now know what the Android-powered Archos 32 looks like. Looks like it is completely capacitive, with dedicated buttons and directional controls surrounding that 3.2-inch screen. It features built-in GPS, a 3.5mm headphone jack and a kickstand along with Bluetooth and WiFi.

It does have a microphone, but there’s no mention of a camera in the user’s manual. That circle on the back could be the integrated speaker. One of the accessories planned include a 720p-capable DVR dock, but the unit requires a proprietary connector to transfer data and charge.

This MacBook Air clone goes the extra mile by including a clone of the MacBooks box as well, along with a manual and necessary drivers. Imagine when you open this package and find that what’s inside isn’t from Cupertino at all.

I wonder if this is enough to get Apple’s lawyers all hot and bothered. However, you have to give the cloner here some credit, it does have a user replaceable battery. It you want the package above, it will cost you $278. Possibly much more if you see this on Ebay and think it’s the real deal.

Until now, if you wanted to get HD Radio in a portable, handheld you had to buy a Zune HD. But Gigaware is leveling the playing field by opening up HD Radio to every iPod touch and iPhone user in the US.

The adapter allows any iPhone or iPod touch with iPhone OS 3.0 or greater the ability to listen to HD Radio and local FM stations. It’s available now for $79.99 exclusively at RadioShack. The accompanying app has a manual tune wheel or auto-seek, social network integration, bookmarks and iTunes Tagging and can be downloaded for free.

What with all of the Droid excitement, it’s easy to forget LG’s GW620, LG’s first Android smartphone. And so you won’t forget about it, the LG GW620 now has its own mini-site. The page appears to be a work in progress, but there are two video demos, some stock photos, and the user manual and spec sheet for download.

The GW620 will be a dualband UMTS (900/2100) quadband GSM device, with WiFi and Bluetooth. It has either 2GB or 4GB of internal storage, along with a microSD card slot, and a 5-megapixel autofocus camera with LED flash. The touchscreen is a 3-inch HVGA resistive panel, while the OS is Android 1.5 Cupcake with LG’s own S-Class UI running on top.
