EagleTec Nano 4/8GB flash drive is tinyFlash drives are great and all, but most are long and get in the way, whether in your laptop or wherever. They aren’t a good shape and size. Well, the EagleTec Nano from Brando is small. Tiny in fact. This tiny USB flash drive will cost you just $33 for 8GB and $22 for the 4GB.

It sure is tempting. The speed is 15Mb/s read, up to 6Mb/s write. It can fit right on your key chain, so it won’t get lost. The whole thing is about the size of a quarter.

Mini Canon EOS 450D is a USB flash driveThis 2GB flash drive is just a few inches wide, but it’s full of intricate details, even lens markings and a viewscreen that we hope can actually light up. The lens is removable and has a USB jack inside. It’s awesome. It’s neat. Cool. Dare I say it? It’s adorable.

It comes with an extension cord to fit it into your USB port. Apparently it’s a promotional item from Canon, which is why you’ve never seen one. But you may be able to find one on eBay. You’ll pay dearly for it(there’s one up right now for $103).

Sanyo unveils new projectors

Posted in Sanyo by Shane McGlaun on April 10th, 2009

sanyoprojector0408-sbVideo Projectors have replaced the filmstrip projectors and overhead projectors that teachers used when I was in school. Today the teacher can simply pull up a page on her computer or run software and let the whole class view it on a screen or the blackboard. Projectors are certainly much better than fighting those stuttering filmstrips that always seemed to get out of sync with the audio.

Sanyo has announced four new projectors aimed at both the classroom and the boardroom called the PCL-XU355, PLC-XU350, PLC-XU305, and PLC-XU300. The most interesting pair out of the quartet are the XU355 and the XU305, both of which offer the industry’s first Simple Wireless Setting feature via a USB memory stick.

The Timelapse Garden video cameraHere’s a cool video camera from Hammacher Schlemmer, specifically designed to create a timelapse video of your garden so that you can keep track of your garden’s progress. Pretty neat. You could make your own Discovery Channel type movie.

It features two different capture modes: as close as 20-inches or a 54-inch wide field of view with the capability to take a picture at one of six preset intervals. Anything from every 5 seconds to every 24 hours and it combines them into a single 1280 x 1024 resolution AVI movie file. Nice.

New Mac Mini?We have no idea if this is a for real new Mac Mini or just someone’s wishful thinking. All we know is that we really really want it to be true. Could be a concept, a leak, or just a fake. Regardless, it is a thing of beauty. According to a 9to5 reader, this image came from the inside of a Russian magazine.

We don’t speak Russian, so we have no idea what it says. If you can decipher it, let us know. It’s probably fake, because it looks TOO beautiful and the specs are too good as well.
