Hannspree SN22A1 Touchscreen All-in-one PC

The Hannspree SN22A1 all-in-one computer might just replace your desktop. It packs in a 21.5-inch multitouch display that uses a LED backlight for power efficiency. It is powered by a 1.66GHz Intel dual-core D510 processor, 3GB of DDRII RAM, a 320GB HDD, an integrated optical drive, a memory card reader, four USB ports and Microsoft Windows Home Premium is running the show.

Some other specs include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and an integrated 1.3MP webcam. The Hannspree SN22A1 all-in-one PC is available for £349.99 or $574.

Toshiba Announces WT310/C Oak Trail Windows 7 Tablet

Toshiba has announced a new tablet in Japan, for the enterprise market, the Toshiba WT310/C. The device comes with Windows 7 professional and features an Intel Atom Z670 1.5GHz Oak Trail processor. It also has an 11.6 inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels, 2GB of RAM and a 64GB Solid State Drive (SSD), along with two cameras.

There’s a two megapixel camera in back and a three megapixel camera in front. Other features include Bluetooth 3.0, 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, an SDXC card slot and USB 2.0 plus HDMI.

Dell XPS 15z goes on sale in the US from $999

The Dell XPS 15z with it’s sweet aluminum and magnesium alloy is on sale in the United States starting at $999. In all, there are five different configs available online. The base model packs in a 2.3GHz Core i5-2410M processor, 6GB of DDR3 RAM, NVIDIA GeForce GT525M graphics with 1GB of dedicated video memory, a 500GB 7200RPM hard drive and a slot-loading DVD burner, with plenty of connectivity including dual-band 802.11a/g/n and a pair of USB 3.0 ports. Pretty nice.

For $1,500 you get a 2.7GHz Core i7 rig with 8GB of RAM, 2GB of VRAM and 750GB of storage, plus a 1080p display. For another $100 you can have the 300-nit, 1920 x 1080 LCD screen in any config.

Cooler Master Silencio 550 Computer Chassis

Cooler Master’s latest case is called the Silencio 550 and it aims to usher in a new era of silent towers The Silencio 550 is black and features a glossy front door that opens. The case is designed to keep most of the sound inside so you don’t hear it. The case also has silencing foam padding and a steel frame with rubber feet.

The cooling system uses a pair of silent spinning fans and there are seven 3.5″ drive bays inside, with three 5.25″ bays outside and one 2.5″ bay. It has a USB 3.0 port on top and holes for an optional water cooling system. Nothing on pricing yet.

Toshiba STOR.E Edition USB 3.0 External Hard Drives

Toshiba has a new line of USB 3.0 external hard drives in the STOR.E Edition. They are available in three different storage capacities: 500GB, 750GB and 1TB.

The plug and play hard drives feature different colors and a casing that has a grooved texture, a USB 3.0 connection interface and they come pre-loaded with Nero BackItUp & Burn Essentials software. Nothing on pricing and release date yet though.

TDK Life On Record Sound Cube

The TDK Life on Record Sound Cube packs in two 5 1/4-inch coaxial drivers that deliver space-filling sound in a unique, compact design. It also has an equalizer to visualize your music with and retro rotary dials to control everything. It’s a speaker system, it’s a cube.

Digital data streaming allows premium audio decoding and playback while it’s charging your Apple iPod and iPhone. Other features include a 3.5mm audio jack, a USB port and Apple’s 30-Pin dock connector. We love the look of this one.

The UltraLink UFi UCube USB Speaker looks like an intercom or something from an old Sci-Fi movie. No wonder we like it. It comes from Ultralink/XLO Products and this portable speaker uses a DSP-controlled power supply, allowing the special Balanced Mode Radiator (BMR) driver to pump out 15 Watts of peak power with a 170-degree listening angle.

Not bad right? That aluminum stand puts the speaker at just the right angle for your listening enjoyment. The UltraLink UFi UCube USB speaker will set you back $149.99.

Geniatech Android TV Set Top Box

Geniatech has released a new Android TV set top box. It packs in Google Android 2.2 Froyo, an Amlogic 1GHz Cortex A9 CPU, 512MB of RAM and a USB port for connecting an external hard drive. You also get 2GB of internal storage and it has a memory card slot for up to 32GB.

This set top box connects to your LAN via WiFi or Ethernet and delivers digital TV, internet TV, a web browser, a music player, IM and SMS apps. You also get access to the Android Market, so you can download additional apps. Nothing on pricing yet, but hopefully we will know soon.

Lenovo IdeaCentre B520 All-In-One Desktop PC Available Soon

Lenovo now has the new IdeaCentre B520 all-in-one desktop PC listed on their product page as ‘Coming Soon’. Hopefully they really mean it as in very soon. This All-In-One features a 23-inch 1920 x 1080 Full HD frameless display with optional 3D Vision support.

Other features include a 2nd generation Intel Core i3/i5/i7 processor, Intel HD 3000 integrated or NVIDIA GeForce GT 555M discrete graphics, up to 16GB DDR3 RAM, up to a 2TB hard drive, a 32GB SSD, a High-Sense webcam, DVD/Blu-ray drive, a 7-in-1 card reader, integrated TV tuner, WiFi, Bluetooth, two USB 3.0 ports, an HDMI port and it comes pre-loaded with Windows 7 Home Premium OS.

Pioneer outs GPS with augmented reality mapping

Pioneer Japan has introduced four new and very interesting in-car navigation systems. They use a dash-mounted camera to display live images on the screens and superimpose digital images on it to help you navigate. The Augmented Reality GPS systems include the AVIC-VH09CS, AVIC-VH09, AVIC-ZH09CS and AVIC-ZH09. The systems can also show distances between cars and points of interest.

But that’s not all. They can also tell which lane the car is in, if a light is red or green and it can identify other traffic signals. All four feature DVD video playback support, Bluetooth, USB ports, a 1Seg digital TV tuner, and an SD card slot. Hard drive-based navigation is standard, as well as three years of free map data updates.

Fujitsu’s Stylistic Q550 business tablet available for US pre-orders

Whether this tablet is stylistic or not is debatable, but one thing is for sure, most tablets don’t have Smart Card readers, fingerprint scanners and TPM modules, but the Fujitsu Q550 has one of each. That’s a bonus for sure.

The Oak Trail-powered Windows 7 tablet sporting it’s 10.1-inch, 1280 x 800 IPS screen is now ready for US pre-orders. The base model is $729 with a 30GB solid state drive and a two-cell rechargeable battery. For $849 you get 62GB of storage and a four cell swappable Lithium-ion battery. Both have front and rear cameras, HDMI out, a bootable USB 2.0 port, a full-size SD slot and dual-band 802.11 a/b/g/n WiFi.

Amazon UK prices upcoming Lenovo ThinkPad X1 at $2,120

Amazon UK has listed the upcoming 13-inch Lenovo Thinkpad X1 at the equivalent of $2,120. This Macbook Air competitor is set to arrive in the UK on May 20. It may be priced higher than an equivalent Macbook Air, but it packs in a current generation 2.5GHz Core i5-2520M and includes 4GB of Ram and 320GB of hard disk space.

As for thinness, the notebook is just 0.85-inches thin at it’s thinnest point and you can have the hard drive swapped for a 160GB SSD if you want, and it can accept an 8GB of ram in a single slot. There’s also a USB 3.0 port, an eSATA port and an SDXC slot. Battery life is 8 hours. Other features include a Gorilla Glass scratch resistant screen and a backlit keyboard.

New USB 3.0 Flash Drives From PQI

If you have a new laptop with a USB 3.0 port, now you need a flash drive to match. And PQI has unveiled a new line of USB 3.0 flash drives called the Intelligent Drive U819V. They measure just 31.5mm x 14.8mm x 7.3mm and weigh 3.6 grams.

They are tiny and also feature a glossy exterior in ivory white and midnight black, a USB 3.0 connection of course they come in 4GB, 8GB, 16GB and 32GB capacities. No word on pricing yet.

Plextor PL-LB950UE Blu-ray burner

The Plextor PL-LB950UE Blu-ray burner has been available to Europeans for a few months, but now it’s coming to the US for $239.99. It comes in your choice of either USB 3.0 or eSATA connectivity, has a 12x write speed, which is twice as quick as the previous version and the ability to burn up to 50GB of data on a dual-layer disc.

The drive also handles 3D playback and has a low vibration system to make sure that it runs quieter and it is LightScribe enabled.

Samsung RF712 gaming laptop

Samsung claims that the screen on its new RF712 gaming laptop will have the best brightness that you can buy, which helps to overcome the dimming effect of wearing 3D glasses. The 17.3-inch screen uses the same Super Bright Plus technology as its Series 9 laptop, but with an added bonus, higher Full HD resolution.

The brightness is 400-nits. That’s about double that of an average LCD. Other specs include a second generation quad-core Intel CPU, 2GB AMD HD6650M graphics, a roomy 750GB hard drive and USB 3.0. The RF712 will hit South Korea on May 2nd for the equivalent of $2,400. No word on when it might reach the US.
