It wasn’t that long ago when Corsair’s 128GB Voyager GT was considered the fastest in the world. Well now it looks like the 128GB Voyager GTR will take its place. The GTR has read speeds of 34MB/s and write speeds of 28MB/s, where the existing 128GB Voyager GT which has 32MB/s and 25.6MB/s read and write speeds.
Those speeds will cost you a premium of $426. But hey, how much is that speed worth to you, with USB 3.0 around?…








We are only days away from the kick off of CES 2010 and one of the big product categories that will be featured at the show in 2010 is USB 3.0. USB 3.0 is going to go mainstream in a big way in 2010 and lots of flash drives and external storage solutions will be on hand at the big show.

I will be glad when USB 3.0 gear hits the market in full force. I am tired of waiting what feels like ages for my backup to complete. LaCie and Symwave have announced a new USB 3.0 dual-drive RAID solution that will be shown off at CES.
Here’s a nicely designed concept tablet design that isn’t branded by Apple. The “HTC Evolve” is pretty cute, even good looking. Along with an ergonomic design, it uses a stylus pen to help you draw renders and such.
StarTech has unveiled its USB 3.0 ExpressCard which features a couple of ports to get you all started with USB 3.0. But there are a few problems though. These SuperSpeed USB ports won’t have the juice to supply a full 900mA for each port.

Dane-Elec has just announced a new line of So SuperSpeed hard drives and SSDs which use the up and coming USB 3.0 standard. The drives can hit the amazing speed of 250MBps which is about ten times that of USB 2.0.
Acer has announced the Acer Aspire Timeline AS1810TZ notebook which sports an 11.6″ screen with an HD resolution and is LED backlit. This one has a full sized keyboard and delivers up to 8 hours of battery life on a single charge.
