USB powered Turntable |
Some people still have a love affair with vinyl. The sound of a needle over spinning vinyl is just warm and alive. Plus the album art awesome. Well if you own a bunch of records and need an easy to use turntable, Evergreen have just released a USB Record Player Turntable that goes by the model number DN-USB-TP01.
This record player connects to your computer using a USB cable and outputs the audio through your computer. The turntable also has analog audio output jacks for speakers. The DN-USB-TP0ill cost you $49.

I remember the old vinyl records that my parents had around the house as a kid. I had a few records when I was young too. I once left my copy of Funky Town in the sun only to find it melted and warped later. If you have a bunch of old records you want to listen to on the go or make into digital tracks Crosley has a new turntable for you.

I like me some music games like Rock Band and Guitar Hero. Rap and dance music isn’t my genre of choice so I have not had the need to play DJ Hero yet. If you like DJ Hero Activision has announced that stand-alone DJ controllers are finally available in the US.

Remember that James Bond movie with the Ice hotel? The entire hotel was sculpted out of Ice and it’s for real too. Everything in the hotel is completely usable. Similarly, artist Katie Paterson taken the idea and made recordings of 3 glaciers (the Langjökull, Snæfellsjökull and Solheimajökull) of Iceland.
I was never one to really take care of the records I had when I was young. The fact that my brother always used my Funky Town single as a Frisbee didn’t help the longevity of my record collection either. If you have lots of vinyl records that you want to convert to digital files Audio-Technica has a new, and lower cost USB turntable.
I’m not even sure if you can still buy vinyl records today. I am sure there are people out there with huge record collections though that want to listen to the vinyl albums and turn their collection into digital files. Audio-Technica has unveiled its new AT-LP120-USB USB turntable system.
The mouse isn’t just for computers anymore. Check out the DJ Mouse from DJ Tech. It’s a multi-axis input device that interacts with the Deckadance Dj software and allows you to live out your DJ fantasy without a turntable or any vinyl.
This Star Trek Enterprise record player was designed from the NCC-1701 version from the new Star Trek movie and uses the saucer section as the turntable, sending your music where no man has gone before. Sadly it’s not real and was just designed to make us all drool, along with 24 other funky looking Enterprises.
