Panasonic’s cute battery-lovin’ mascot is at it again. Last time, he was showing off his abilities by scaling a Grand Canyon cliff. Now EVOLTA is back and he’s still all about breaking records and the hearts of fan-girls everywhere. This time he will be riding a mini tricycle in order to set a world record for distance traveled by a robot.

We’re rooting for the little guy, but we aren’t so sure he is gonna make it. I mean EVOLTA isn’t exactly fast is he? The bot does have some upgrades from his previous version however. He can ride a bike and follow an infrared path set up by his human handlers.

It’s been the same for as long as I can remember. Moms have been forced to push their little ones everywhere. Isn’t it enough that they pushed the kid out in the first place? Moms need a break. So it’s fitting that on Mother’s day we show you the Taga stroller/trike.

This baby folds up so you can fit it in the car trunk for trips. And it also has a wide range of attachments, like a setup for two kids, covered seats for rainy weather, and baskets. You can even adjust the length of the trike to work with whatever load you are carrying.

Generally things with wheels don’t leave the ground. Of course, there were the flying motorcycles of Galactica 1980, but that was fiction. Very bad fiction.

Here’s a single seat motorbike/tricycle that lets you ride on the open road and when traffic gets too congested, you can just take to the skies and arrive at work in style. It uses of propeller blades like a helicopter and can reach flying speeds of 160 km/h and land speeds of 90 km/h. The only problem is that we are going to have to rethink garage design and put gas stations on rooftops.

The Magic Tricycle is aptly named because it’s capable of switching from three wheels to just two, becoming a motorbike for those tight spaces. On the highway it uses all three wheels, but when you have need just well, transform. I thought the Proxima concept car was cool until I saw this beauty.

The entire passenger cabin rotates as the third wheel is lifted into the air, which sprouts some kind of foil that keeps the chassis stable.Yes, it looks like a Transformer from the upcoming sequel and we’d all love to see it do battle. Alas, it’s a design concept by student Seyyed Javad Ghaffarian, created for Car Design News’ 2008 design contest. I think Michael Bay should give this guy a call don’t you?

Airwaves is a compact concept car designed by Lei Liu. The idea is that this little thing is super easy to park, making your automotive adventure less stressful. The Airwaves design is also intended to be safe, comfortable and an all around fun ride for the driver and passengers. You might even be ready for a big boy concept car after you’ve mastered this tricycle type. The car has an LCD screen on back that displays information like weather reports, news, or a greeting from the driver.

With an LCD screen in the back, just how many people are they thinking fit in this tiny thing? The good news is that the Airwaves is electric and has zero emissions.

I don’t care who you are, you’re going to look silly riding running this thing. To make things worse, it isn’t a true bike, but rather a tricycle. The idea here is that there are no pedals, so this thing is fueled by running and a sore crotch.

When you pick up enough speed, hop on the foot holds and coast. The video below is pretty funny. What this thing amounts to is a bike sized frame being rammed up your crotch. I have no more words.

Moov is one of the coolest kids I’ve seen in a long time. It’s a DIY 4-in-1 vehicle kit for kids between 5 and 12 from Dutch company Berg. You can build a racer, a carver, a tricycle, and a scooter. It’s like combining LEGO and Erector with the big wheel.

With the large wood and plastic pieces, it’s easy enough for a kid to build and big enough to ride it down the street. Plus, they are actually learning while they play. I wouldn’t be at all surprised to see add-ons for these very soon, that would pimp up the kid creations.
