Hands On: iFrogz EarPollution CS40 headphones

Posted in Review by Conner Flynn on March 8th, 2010

iFrogz sent us a pair of their new EarPollution CS40 headphones for review. They come in several stylish colors and actually look pretty nice compared to what’s out there on the headphones market, so we were eager to give them a go and see if they are worth the $39.99 price.

The CS40 claims to offer “cranium busting sound with supreme comfort” and they have a high gloss finish with black dura-strength rubber cups and headband. They also promise light-weight and high quality.

Photonic Disrupter Laser Review

Posted in Review by Darrin Olson on June 29th, 2009

Photonic Disrupter Laser From Wicked LasersWe’ve seen some pretty cool lasers come across our desks in the past so it’s always refreshing to see a unique twist like what we have with the Photonic Disrupter. The folks at Wicked Lasers have taken an already powerful 100mW laser and modded it into non-lethal, “Threat Assessment Laser Illuminator”, (TALI for short) weapon.

The main feature that makes the Photonic Disrupter different from other 100mW lasers is its adjustable lens, allowing you to create a broad or very focused non-lethal beam of green light. The intent of the laser is for military and law enforcement use in dark or low-light situations, allowing the wielder of the light to temporarily blind and overwhelm the senses of the other person.

Review: OtterBox Blackberry Curve case

OtterBox defender case for the Blackberry Curve reviewThe folks over at OtterBox, protectors of gadgets for the active and accident-prone, gave us a chance to try out one of their defensive products to see just how well it holds up. In this case, OtterBox sent us a protective case for the Blackberry Curve, a device I have with me day in and day out.

Since the case from OtterBox is protecting something I own and depend on daily, we did not put it through the usual drops, dunks and vodka-proof trials that we would normally do. But, despite this we can tell you that this case blows away any other protective case we’ve had our hands on, for any mobile device.

Climbing UP Suitcase eases your burden

Posted in Concepts by Conner Flynn on December 30th, 2008

Climbing UP Suitcase eases your burdenThough it’s just a concept for the moment, the Climbing UP suitcase designed by Woo Moonhyung makes dragging your suitcase around much easier. Especially on uneven surfaces or up stairs. Most suitcases use just a single set of wheels on the bottom, but not the Climbing UP suitcase. Instead, it has rubber belt tracks like a tank, along the length of it’s body.

It makes it much easier to pull your suitcase up stairs, and with the track along it’s entire length, it’s easier to handle from either side. It’s not motorized, but the design doesn’t add much weight. It just adds that extra little nudge to help you get a bit of a break.

Tire Tread iPhone 3G case

Tire Tread iPhone 3G caseHere’s an iPhone case that’s a bit different. If you’re in the market for a case for your iPhone 3G, but you “tire” from the search, this may be for you. The Case-Mate Vroom Tire Tread Pattern Case features 100% impact resistant rubber and it’s only $15.

Its rubber case can protect your expensive phone by cushioning the blow of impact of course. But there’s an unseen danger most users ignore. What if…Just what if it slipped from your gadget loving hand? The tire tread pattern will prevent iPhone hand slippage and at the same time send others a message. Presumably, “Don’t tread on me.”

Griffin Reflect new iPod Nano case has mirrored chrome finishGriffin is Johnny-on-the-spot with advertising its new cases for latest version of Apple’s iPods, with one of the coolest looking ones being a reflective case for the 3rd generation iPod Nano.
