Posted in Apparel by Reuben Drake on August 1st, 2011

Here’s a great dress for the geek girl in your life. These tube dresses will make you look like a life-size Nintendo Game Boy. Each dress is made from a jersey knit fabric, in colors that match the Nintendo Game Boy.

You even get the felt A/B buttons, as well as Start and Select, but you might get slapped if you get too button happy and touch the wrong area. It was actually sold yesterday, but Etsy shop HereandThereVintage will continue to offer some pretty cool clothing just like this one.

Facebook glitch exposes private videos

Posted in Facebook by Conner Flynn on July 25th, 2011

If you have any private videos on Facebook, you better pay attention. TechCrunch first got wind of this problem and it could be embarrassing for some of you with sensitive videos. The glitch apparently has to do with restricted-access settings for videos posted to Facebook and shared with supposedly designated friends.

The titles, thumbnails, and descriptions for videos were mistakenly visible to all of a user’s friends, regardless of which had been granted access to the clips. And a list of people tagged in each clip was visible as well.

Posted in Text Messaging by Reuben Drake on July 7th, 2011

Maybe you forgot your phone at home. No need to drive home and get it. Texts and calls can just be routed to your computer and inside Google Chrome. We aren’t talking about Google Voice, but it’s similar. MightyText will route calls and text messages into Google Chrome instead of sending them to your email. Pretty handy when you lose your phone or leave it behind.

The new service was started by former Google employee, Maneesh Arora. It’s basically a routing service for text messages and calls. It’s in Beta now.

Apple to release iPad 2 Plus this year?

Posted in iPad by Conner Flynn on July 6th, 2011

According to an analyst, Apple might be releasing an iPad 2 refresh later this year, called the “iPad 2 plus”. This new iPad 2 is said to have a higher resolution display of 250-300 ppi, which is an improvement over the iPad 2′s 132-ppi resolution.

This is just a rumor for now, however word is that Apple has ordered 5 million iPad 2 touch sensors this month, so it is possible. We will just have to wait and see. Do you think there’s any truth to this?

Posted in Mobile Phones by Reuben Drake on June 28th, 2011

It will cost you $6,700 to rock that old OS too. Did we mention that it features Alligator skin as well? Basically an animal died to bring you this ugly outdated and overpriced phone. They shouldn’t have.

Japanese PSN Still Down

Posted in PS3 by Conner Flynn on June 26th, 2011

Sony’s troubles still continue. The Japanese government is giving Sony a hard time over the PSN outage still, two months after. They still have not allowed Sony to bring PSN back online until they have certain assurances. These are assurances that the Japanese government has been requesting since May and Sony isn’t giving them a time frame for their implementation.

They simply want preventative measures and Sony isn’t cooperating or communicating. Sony needs to be bending over backwards to win people over once again, so this is pretty stupid on their part.
