LEGO and Star Wars have joined forces and turned these Darth Vader and Stormtrooper Minifigs into a digital clock with an Alarm and a Snooze Button. They are available at both Amazon and Toys ‘R’ Us.

These Star Wars minifig clocks are about 8″ tall, not actual minifig size. They would be awesome to have by the bed.

I really like to see some of the awesome DIY stuff that geeks come up with and when that stuff has to do with Star Wars it’s even better. A dude has created his own DIY R2D2 bot that is larger than the actual robot so the guy can fit inside the ting to drive it.

The replica of R2D2 has a flip up dome that the guy climbs into. Once inside the robot he activate sound effects and somehow control how the thing moves around. It has fans inside too to keep the geek cool.

Amazon is laying the smack down in the e-reader wars, with this latest ad for the third-generation Kindle that directly attacks Apple’s iPad. The 30-second ad, already shown on ABC, points out that the iPad’s glossy LCD is hard to read in bright daylight. It shows that the Kindle doesn’t have that problem.

In fact, it is so easy to read, that this sexy Kindle owner can keep her sunglasses on. The ad also points out that a Kindle costs just $139 versus the iPad’s $499 starting price. Ouch!

A new animation for the R2-D2 Edition Motorola Droid 2 has shown up online and it looks like the official version. Star Wars fans will love this one for sure. The Droid 2 R2-D2 edition features the same specifications as the standard edition, with a 3.7 inch WVGA TFT display with a resolution of 480 x 854.

Other specifications include a 1GHz processor, 8GB of built in storage plus a microSD card slot that comes with an 8GB card as standard, and it can be upgraded to a 32GB micro SD card.

When that TomTom Darth Vader voice pack turned up, I wasn’t excited about it. I was never a Vader fan he’s evil after all. I didn’t like Yoda much in the original films, but in the new flicks he was pretty cool.

TomTom has unveiled a video of a behind the scenes look at the recording of the Yoda voice pack for TomTom GPS units. This may well be the funniest commercial ever.

Vader doesn’t like books. When faced with a shelf full of books, he’s been known to violently stab them with his lightsaber. If you feel the same way as I do about the Star Wars prequels, these bookends would be the perfect place for any prequel-related books and movies as they will be stabbed with a lightsaber and left on the shelf.

The light saber is illuminated from the inside, powered by batteries. It’s priced at $49.95 and worth every penny.

None of us were born with mutant powers. Unless you consider spending way too much money on Star Wars merchandise a mutant power anyway. So if we want X-men like powers we have to go the DIY route.

That’s what this dude did. He created a DIY wrist mounted flamethrower in order to live out his mutant fantasies. We’ve seen this guy before, but he has refined his creation. Somehow large breasted X-babes still elude him for some reason.

I, like you, clearly struck out on the parent lottery. Some moms build a 98-inch screen on their kid’s bedroom ceiling, while some dads build an AT-AT bunk bed. Yeah, I’m kinda ticked off at my parents now. Now that I see how some kids are lavished with awesome nerd decor.

Well, here’s the straw that broke the camel’s back. Now, we learn about a father who built half a Y-Wing in his son’s bedroom, hanging from above, with the bed on top. Mom, dad, if you are reading this, don’t even bother calling.

While you will never get to the famous Donkey Kong kill screen with this quilt, it will keep you comfy on these winter nights. Unless you choose to hang it on your wall. It’s a faithful rendition of the classic game we all know and love. It measures 64 square inches and is made from 100% cotton.

Etsy seller CarolinaPatchworks did a great job. I would say that it’s pixel perfect. And isn’t it time you changed those Star Wars bedsheets? Of course, fine geek craftsmanship like this isn’t cheap. It will cost you $450. That’s 1800 quarters, in case you were wondering.

For those of us who were growing up during the original Star Wars trilogy, those times were magical. More action figures then a kid could collect? Awesome vehicles for them to play around in? With so many apps for the iPhone, looking for something cool can be like looking for a needle in a haystack. Well, here’s a real gem that will have Star Wars fans dancing around and accidentally throwing their iPhone against walls like it was a Wiimote.

It displays a lightsaber on screen and uses the iPhone’s accelerometer to generate the corresponding sound effect based on your movements. You can choose the lightsaber color and everything. What are you waiting for? Go have fun and break stuff.

After all of the rumors and waiting, we finally get to see the Xbox 360 motion controller in action. Motus, the company that’s supposedly developing the controller for the console has some new videos showing how the device will work with existing games.

It’s being called Darwin and is of course completely wireless and can be split in two depending on the game you’re playing, or if another player wants to join in. Check out the videos below. Maybe it’s just me, but it looks like there’s a bit of a delay in motion in the Lego Star Wars game.

The Jedi Gym will help you live out your Star Wars fantasies and shed pounds. In this video you’ll meet Master Flynn(No relation I swear) and watch as he uses the force to motivate out of shape nerds dressed like Lando, Leia, Stormtroopers etc. One of the things we learn here is that there are no 300 pound Stormtroopers. Another is that Lando has really let himself go. When Vader drops by, things heat up.

This is pretty decent rendition of the “Imperial Death” March from Star Wars, played through a 3.5-inch floppy drive. We can’t find anything showing exactly how this was done, but we’d like to think they made some software to control the motor of this 3.5″ floppy so they are “playing” the different notes with their computer keyboard. I knew there was a reason to hang onto some of those drives; I could have had an entire orchestra!
