This Spy Camera Looks Like A Sony Alarm Clock and Radio

Posted in Spy Gear by Conner Flynn on July 21st, 2011

This spy camera is scary because it looks just like a Sony alarm clock. In fact, I have the Sony model that it is imitating in my home. I hope no one has been spying. This hidden camera records 720p HD videos in MPEG4 format and stores them on an SD card (16GB provided).

It will give you a time and date stamp and is motion activated. I don’t think that anyone would even suspect it was more than a clock, especially when it functions as a regular alarm clock/radio when it isn’t spying. It will cost you $329.89.

Looxcie wearable camcorder looks like a Bluetooth headset

Posted in Spy Gear by Conner Flynn on June 8th, 2011

Wearable camcorders are nothing new, neither are wearable spy cameras. This one is disguised as a Bluetooth headset. It is called the Looxcie 2. This sequel to the original is half the size and sheds some weight as well.

The two versions of the Looxcie 2 that are available are 4GB and 8GB capacities. They can record videos at resolutions of 320 or 480. Rumor is that it may also support iCloud. The 4GB version will give you five hours of recording for $180, while the 8GB one will give you ten hours for $199.

Sony to remaster some PSP titles for PlayStation 3

Posted in Sony by Conner Flynn on May 23rd, 2011

As cool as the PSP is, it is starting to look a bit dated. So Sony is introducing the PSP Remaster series for PlayStation 3, where Sony will port select portable game titles to the PS3 in high-def Blu-ray. Some of those titles may even have new add-on content and stereoscopic 3D support.

Another new bonus is that gamers will be able to share game save data between the two platforms. The key to the success of this will be what price they charge for these games that you have already played. The first PSP Remaster title announced is Monster Hunter Portable 3rd, which is Japan only and arriving at an unknown date.

Want to take some secret video of someone while looking like Clark Kent? Here’s your ticket. These spy glasses should keep your video shooting nice and discrete. The video is captured at 720p HD quality and at 30fps. It has a handy ‘on’ button to start recording and you are good to go.

These glasses also pack in about 4GB of storage and you get a 1-year warranty. Just $110. Have fun explaining why you suddenly need glasses and why you chose this pair. And why you don’t always seem to need them.

What’s this? If our eyes don’t deceive us this is the HTC Droid Incredible 2. These images come from PocketNow without even a named or anonymous source. We don’t care, we just enjoy spying new gear.

To refresh your memory, the Incredible 2 is little more than a rebranded Incredible S. According to a purported leaked roadmap from last month, the best guess we have for a launch date is April 28th. We will let you know more when we know.

Japanese Spy Camera looks like a cat

Posted in Spy Gear by Conner Flynn on March 7th, 2011

This weird looking Japanese cat is actually a spy camera. The camera is called the Necono Digital Camera. Ideally a spy camera should not stand out, yet this odd cat completely stands out. Maybe people will just think it is an odd figurine as you record them.

The camera has a 3MP sensor and can shoot both VGA video and still shots. The camera measures 100 x 30 x 30mm and weighs 40G. Apparently the buttons for activating the shutter are on the cats butt and the lens is in the cat’s eye.

Battleship gets a complete overhaul

Posted in Games by Conner Flynn on February 14th, 2011

I remember playing Battleship as a kid. It’s a classic that every kid enjoys at some point, but it has needed an update for a long time. So Hasbro is offering Battleship Live. For your $50 purchase you get an infrared light to cloak the board in order to “see” what is going on.

The gameplay remains the same, the object is to get the right coordinates to sink your opponent’s ships, but you also get spy planes which fly around a track and spy on your opponent’s ships, and to confirm your attack you need to cover both of the “confirm” squares on the side of the board.

Tonino Lamborghini Spyder Series Luxury Phones

Posted in Mobile Phones by Conner Flynn on November 4th, 2010

Here’s the latest addition to the ultra luxurious mobile handset market, the Tonino Lamborghini Spyder handset. The range is priced at $1781 to $2813 because they come with a 316L-grade stainless steel casing and a 2.2-inch (240 x 320 pixels) sapphire crystal scratch resistant LCD display.

Despite all of that, a 3MP camera with VGA video recording is the best they could do. It isn’t even 3G enabled but they are hand made and hand polished. A few models in the Spyder range are the S-670, S-680 and S-685 which are the higher end models with rose gold, gold and black/gold PVD finishes. The S-600 comes with DLC (Diamond-Like Coating) while the S-610 and S-620 have simple black PVD finishes.

Here’s something for the nerdy James Bond who needs to crunch numbers while spying on those around you. Or maybe you just want to protect your office cubicle when you’re not there. The calculator spy cam looks like a Casio desk calculator with large buttons.

It’s fully functional with a pinhole on the side. The camera can capture VGA recording (640 X 480 resolution) at 30 frames per second for about an hour and a half using its 4 GB of built-in memory.

If you are into green, hybrids, and performance cars a new Porsche concept was unveiled a while back that combined all three called the 918 Spyder. That car looked awesome and packed in a very powerful hybrid power train.

The car was powered by a 500hp V8 engine along with a pair of 109hp electric motors fed by lithium ion batteries. Porsche claims that the car would be capable of 78mpg.

HTC Vision to hit T-Mobile as the G1 Blaze

Posted in HTC by Conner Flynn on July 25th, 2010

The T-Mobile G1 was the first Android-powered smartphone in the world, and as such it will now get a successor called the G1 Blaze. One look will tell you that this is the HTC Vision, which will apparently feature a 1GHz processor, a somewhat spacious keyboard and 3.7″ WVGA display.

Rumors indicate that it will appear on T-Mobile, but no one is sure if that means T-Mobile Europe or T-Mobile USA. Anyway, you can start saving your money and hope it heads your way sometime soon.

Spyder III: The world’s most powerful laser/lightsaber

Posted in News by Conner Flynn on June 10th, 2010

Built with the blue-laser diode of a dismantled Casio Green Slim projector, the $200 Spyder III is the world’s most powerful portable laser. It can make you the most powerful Jedi ever. If it doesn’t permanently blind. It will set your skin, or anything else on fire almost instantly.

Yes, this is no laser toy. This thing can kill. The diodes in Casio’s new mercury-free Green Slim projectors apparently allow for unprecedentedly powerful portable lasers, and Wicked Lasers is more than happy to use them for the 1 Watt Spyder III. The blue Spyder III laser is 2000 times brighter to the human eye, compared to their $2000 Sonar and this one is only $200.

Cross Spy Camera

Posted in Spy Gear by Conner Flynn on May 31st, 2010

If you need to get the dirt on churchgoing folk or a local cult, why not infiltrate them and get the goods with this Cross Spy Camera? There’s like a million crosses in church, who’s gonna know. And if God wasn’t ok with it you would already be struck down right?

This comes from the good folks over at Chinavasion. There’s a camcorder hidden inside. They call it “Ingenious and fashionable”. Comes with 4GB internal memory and can likely burn vampires like a standard cross.
