Sony Launches New S-Frame Digital Video Photo Frames

Sony has three new S-Frame digital video photo frames. The DPF-HD1000, DPF-HD800 frames support HD video play back with support for MPEG4, MPEG1, and Motion JPEG videos captured on digital cameras.

Both frames have an internal 2GB of memory and the HD800 has an 8 inch display with a resolution of 800 x 480 and the HD1000 has a resolution of 1026 x 600 with a 10.1-inch screen. These new Frames also have integrated speakers and are designed to also playback audio files supporting MP3, AAC, and Linear PCM.

JVC’s New Dual-Dock Speaker System for iPad and iPhone

JVC is now shipping the UX-VJ3B speaker system. It not only looks awesome, but the UX-VJ3B has dual-dock support for the iPad and iPhone at the same time. It’s also affordable at $199.99 and will mount your iPad and iPhone side by side.

Features include a horizontal iPad dock, a rotatable dock for the iPod and iPhone, detachable speakers, auxiliary audio input, mini-USB input, a subwoofer output, a video output, and AM/FM tuner. There’s also an alarm clock, a sleep timer, and a remote.

HTC Puccini 10-inch tablet revealed

The first solid images of HTC’s upcoming 10-inch slate have surfaced, called the HTC Puccini. Looks pretty sweet. We don’t have much in the way of confirmed specifications, but the tablet will feature an 8-megapixel camera with what appears to be a dual-LED flash, as well as stereo speakers and a microphone.

The Puccini also supports stylus input just like the HTC Flyer. Other rumored specs include a 1.5GHz processor, Android Honeycomb, HTC Sense and a 4G LTE radio. Nothing on a launch date, but we hope it will be soon.

Libratone Live AirPlay wireless speakers

Libratone has announced a new speaker that uses the AirPlay Wi-Fi streaming feature on Macs to deliver audio and podcasts from your iTunes library to anywhere in your network. They will go on sale in the UK in September for £599.

The Libratone Live AirPlay speaker has an output of up to 150 Watts with five dedicated amplifiers. The speaker is said to create a “room-filling soundscape with the tweeters and midrange drivers dispersing 360-degree sound”.

2011 MacBook Air Announced

Apple has announced the new 2011 MacBook Air, which will come with the latest version of Apple’s OS, OS X Lion. There is an 11 inch MacBook Air and a 13 inch MacBook Air available and both feature Intel’s Thunderbolt technology. The 11 inch model comes with either a 1GHz dual core Intel Core i5 processor or a 1.8GHz dual core Intel Core i7 processor. Your choice. All models now have a backlit keyboard as well.

The base model has a 64GBSSD and the top model a 128GB SSD that can be upgraded to a 256GB SSD. Other specs include 2GB of DDR3 RAM, which can be upgraded to 4GB, Intel HD Graphics 3,000, a FaceTime camera, two USB 2.0 ports, a Thunderbolt port, WiFi, Bluetooth and a pair of stereo speakers.

Apple’s new Thunderbolt display is a 27-inch model with a 2560 x 1440 resolution 16:9 IPS display. It packs in Apple’s new connectors, an integrated 2.1 speaker system, and a Firewire 800 slot. If that isn’t enough, there’s also a built-in FaceTime HD camera and Mic, Gigabit Ethernet, three USB 2.0 ports and MagSafe charging for your MacBook.

The DisplayPort hookup can daisy chain up to six high speed devices. It will cost $999. Just when Apple fans had some money in the bank, they now have something more to buy.

The OMA Monarch Speaker System is two 15-inch woofers in a unique enclosure that deliver outstanding bass even when using the smallest of tube amplifiers.

The wings work. They actually help to load the woofers to deliver better sound. The Monarch is available in several wood types and finishes, but there is no word on pricing yet.

Dutch designer Christian M Andersen has designed a set of high-end performance speakers called the Acoustic Lab Zeta 2.0 speaker range. The range pairs good looks with high functionality. The shape helps to enhance the sound and it has a linear sound spectrum, which will provide clear sounds.

They can easily be placed on the wall or any other surface with the help of additional wall brackets. These speakers have a frequency range of 110 to 20.000 Hz, while the amplifier works in a range of 20 to 20.000 Hz.

Pioneer Offers A Pair Of Computer Speakers

Pioneer making speakers? Yep. The outfit has introduced a 2.0 system (the S-MM301 for $49) and a 2.1 system (the S-MM751RU for $129). The S-MM301 features triple-coil drivers, USB connectivity, metal grilles, built-in controls and a compact design that is good for travel. The S-MM751RU adds a dedicated subwoofer and more power.

The S-MM751RU comes with a remote that allows users to control the volume and play/pause/rewind/forward, you know the drill. It uses Maxx Bass Dynamic Sound technology. The system is rated to handle a total of 40 watts (20 watt subwoofer, 10 watts for each satellite).

The Cregle PenBook Windows 7 tablet is different than most on the market. It comes with a digital pen and an active digitizer, which you can use to draw or write on the display. The device measures 10.4-inch x 7.2-inch x 0.7-inch and weighs 2.3 pounds.

Some of the features of this tablet include a 10.1-inch (1024 x 600) display that supports multitouch gestures and palm rejection, a 1.6GHz Intel Atom Z530 processor, two USB ports, a 3.5mm audio jack, built-in mic, stereo speakers, 802.11b/g/n WiFi and Bluetooth 2.1. Nothing on pricing or availability yet.

Soundfreaq has announced a few new wireless speaker systems: the Sound Step and Sound Step Recharge. Both of them are nice and compact and the Sound Step Recharge even has a built-in rechargeable battery that will give you up to six hours of playback time. Not bad.

It is also an iPad docking station, so you can stream music wirelessly from your iPad while charging and a USB charging port will also allow you to charge another gadget at the same time.
