Like Pac-Man, you just can’t have enough Space Invaders in your life. That includes the shower too. Now you can get clean and go pew pew pew as you battle the alien menace.

Of course it won’t actually move like in the arcade. You’ll have to use your imagination. Unless you’re the type to pee in the shower, in which case, fire away. Hope you can hit the UFO on top.

We’ve seen some crazy Foosball tables, but nothing like this one. It’s clearly from the future and it’s name is Space Foosball. Basically they’ve turned foosball into a tabletop video game.

Sure it takes some of the fun out of it. No spinning paddles that kick a real ball around the table. But think about it. The players can now be anything. Donkey Kong Vs. Mario, Space Invaders… The possibilities are endless.

Pocket Lucho is known for building awesome mini-arcade cabinets using vintage game consoles. And after spending five months perfecting an earlier Neo Geo cabinet design, he has posted some detailed info on this awesome project.

He used a Neo Geo MVS mv1b board, 5-inch PSOne LCD, and Space Invaders Play TV controls. He attached the control panel and the PS one display with magnets make the wiring more accessible, and check out that detailed exterior design. Amazing work all around.

Pimping your ride with new shocks, struts, and a more powerful engine is all well and good, but if it can’t get by on looks alone what’s the point? These art cars are real lookers. These mini Coopers put the geek on the street my brotha.

You might remember the awesome Space Invaders Game Bank that we featured a while back. At that time it was only available in Japan. Good news, now there is a version that you can get in the US and Europe, although we’re not sure if it takes currency other than Yen.

To refresh your memory, when last we left it, this bank was accepting up to 80 100 yen coins, and each time you drop a coin in, another invader lights up. So, you are playing the game in reverse. It pays to have more invaders on screen.

There’s nothing like shooting some Space Invaders who are trying to take over the world. It used to be that we popped a few quarters in the machine and shot them all to hell. These days it’s all about buying merchandise that bears the likeness of the 8-bit invaders. Some of which is actually practical.

We love Space Invaders here at the ‘Brick and we’re a little jealous of our friends in Japan, where these Kit Kat bars are being produced in limited editions by Nestle for Taito arcades to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Space Invaders.

Putting Space Invaders on a Kit Kat should make it a bit easier to fend off the invading armada as you savor every delicious bite of their little bodies. I’d love to see more retro arcade candy bars hit the market, like a Pac-Man Reese’s cup and the like, but I wouldn’t be able to resist and I’d become a large geek instead of a trim geek.

Who doesn’t love Space Invaders? Answer: Those being invaded of course. Say you’re chillin’ in your room, by the gentle light of your Space Invaders lamp. Just outside your window, the moonlight gently illuminates their latest message to Earth. Soon the invasion will begin. But you don’t need to worry about that. Not after selling out your entire race. You will be spared and given your own island in the Bahamas.
