Porsche USB flash driveMany of us would love to own a Porsche, but not all of us can afford one. The next best thing may be this Porsche flash drive. At least it’s something to flash around so you can pretend you own one.

The drive offers 2GB of storage, which should be plenty of space for Porsche pictures and other important data. Of course it features the brand logo embedded on it. It will cost you $49 and leave you feeling completely unsatisfied because you are still no closer to the actual car.

Posted in Samsung by Shane McGlaun on August 13th, 2009

samsung-logo-sbThe SSD is a tough sell today. A few consumers buy them for their superior performance compared to a plain HDD. The higher levels of performance are offset for many consumers by the fact that the SSD costs so much more to purchase and has less storage space than most HDDs.

Samsung has decided to target the enthusiast gaming segment with its latest 256GB SSD. Samsung says that the fast performance is perfect for gaming. The higher performance for the SSD could mean faster load times for levels and better performance in game.

And so the keys on this keyboard feature logos from some of the biggest and most famous brands ever. Sure, it’s an out there idea, but do you think these companies would mind one bit if they got some space on your next keyboard?

Creative readying first touch deviceAn FCC filing reveals that Creative’s first touchscreen media device will be called the Zii. The name alone implies that it will be powered by the dual-core Zii processor. The filing also shows an “HD camera” logo so it’s likely that this device will have the ability to capture video and playback in High Definition. Whether or not full HD is supported, we have no idea.

There is space on the side for an SD memory card slot as well. There are two versions of the device. The Zii and the Zii Egg. The Zii Egg is for developers.

W-41: Your Social Media Identity on your clothes

Posted in Apparel by Conner Flynn on October 26th, 2008

W-41: Your Social Media Identity on your clothesThe W-41 is a high tech shirt that not only holds BO, but soime interesting data as well. See that logo€? If you capture it with a cellphone, you’ll be whisked away to that person’s MySpace page, Blog, or other social networking site. Here’s how it works. You buy one of the pieces of clothing on the site that has this logo, which is unique to only you with your personal info. Then just wear it and do your thing.

If someone in the know passes by and they have downloaded the software on the site for free to their phone, they capture it. Your blogs and virtual identity are revealed and they can leave you messages or check out your social networks. You can get T-shirts and sweatshirts for women and men in vintage white, vintage black, and vintage brown. T-shirts are $49 and $56 for sweatshirts. Pretty cool idea. It kinda makes stalking that much weirder. Does this make stalking a bit more acceptable or not? I’m confused. We’ll if you have the shirt, I’ll be taken a pic. What about when the shirt gets worn? Will it take me to someone else’s page?

Mysterious Firefox crop circle appears

Mysterious Firefox crop circle appears
Some strange things are happening on this planet. Are we being visited by a superior intelligence? How can one possibly explain the mysterious images that have appeared recently? First there was the Firefox logo spotted in deep space. Then things started to hit closer to home. This ominous design appeared out of nowhere recently. Now we have the latest message pictured above. What does it all mean? My theory is that it’s an intelligence test sent by beings who are far superior to us.

Think about it. All intelligent creatures love Space Invaders, just as any intelligent creature would use Firefox over IE. I think we are safe as long as some drunk idiot in a field doesn’t send them a response by way of a Windows Vista logo. If that happens, we can kiss our gadget-lovin behinds goodbye.

Firefox logo spotted in space

Firefox logo spotted in space
Here’s an interesting image captured by the Hubble Space Telescope. It’s an image of the variable star V838 Monocerotis which lies near the edge of our Milky Way Galaxy. Yes, it looks like the Firefox logo. The red area also resembles HAL 9000 from 2001: A Space Odyssesy.

I picture the starship Enterprise investigating and ultimately finding that this area of space is some higher beings hard drive. “I find this highly illogical Captain. Sensors are also picking up signs of Windows Vista, which indicates that the entire region is unstable and could implode at any time.”
