There has been no official confirmation, but word is that Microsoft could be ready to unveil an Xbox 360 Slim at E3. Sony has the PlayStation 3 slim after all and they do want to compete.

Let’s not forget that the PlayStation Move and Project Natal motion sensing controllers are just around the corner too. Things are heating up in the console wars. A slim Xbox 360 will be good as long as they don’t remove any important features to do it.

It doesn’t seem like much of a prediction, but Wedbush Morgan analyst Michael Pachter foresees a new slim Xbox 360 hardware configuration before 2011 rolls around. More specifically he thinks that the new slim version will feature a 250GB hard drive with Project Natal bundled with it, without any price reduction or increase.

That means you would be getting the bundle for the $299 price point. Unless of course, Sony lowers the price of the PS3. Then it may go down to compete with Sony.

Sony’s motion controller finally has a name, the PlayStation Move. As in it makes you get off your butt and move. As in they hope to move many of them and make lots of money. Sony will have multiple packages available. A standalone Move controller, or a package with PlayStation Eye + Move + a game, or an entire console bundle. The Eye and Move and game combo will be under $100 and they ae looking at a launch window of Fall 2010.

Looks like they are going full on Wii too, as one of the games for it is called Sports Champions, a game with a bunch of smaller mini games. Another is a swordfighting duel game with a sword/mace and shield.(Sound familiar?)

Michael Jackson’s death sure has done wonders for getting “This is it” either on or in gadgets. Here’s another.

This flash drive from Kingston will give you just 2 GB of memory, which is occupied by a pre-loaded copy of the movie “This is it”. It also comes with Windows Media Player 11. The Kingston drive will cost you $20 and is branded with the movie’s logo.

If only the PS3 could record and process high-definition video. Well Sony is finally taking care of it, announcing Torne, a DTV adapter for Japan that will allow you to record television and even video playback while surfing the web.

The Torne ships in March, priced at ¥9980 (or $110) on its own. Or you can get it in a bundle for ¥42,800 (or $465). As for the US getting it? Don’t hold your breath.

We have just one question. Why? Why do we need a Michael Jackson PS3 bundle? MJ and gaming don’t exactly go hand in hand. Is it greed on Sony’s part? Of course. But then MJ’s family would like to sell a few as well, I’m sure.

The “This is it” PS3 bundle which will come with the Michael Jackson documentary of the same name for ¥33,500 (or $366). You’ll also get a 120GB Hard Disk Drive “Charcoal Black” PS3, a wireless DUALSHOCK 3, a power cord, one AV cable and one USB cable.

Last Friday was Black Friday, one of the busiest shopping days of the year. Today is the online equivalent called Cyber Monday when online retailers urge shoppers to spend money online. Walmart.com has some good deals for Cyber Monday that are available now.

Walmart is offering a Kodak 12MP camera for $89. It also has an Acer 10.2-inch netbook for $268 with a case and a flash drive. You can also get your hands on a 22-inch Samsung LCD HDTV for $268.

Those living in Japan get all of the cool stuff. Sometimes we get it later, sometimes we don’t. The latest Sony-thing to keep gamers in Japan happy are two new bundles for the PSP-3000.

One of them comes with a new pouch, a 4GB Memory Stick and a cloth with the SCEI logo, the other includes Monster Hunter Portable 2G. I wouldn’t hold your breath waiting to get one here in the states.

One week after Sony’s spacious 250GB PlayStation 3 Slim lands in the States for $349.99, Microsoft’s 250GB Xbox 360 Modern Warfare 2 bundle is set to arrive with the game and two black wireless controllers. All for $399.99.

Costco and Amazon both list a November 10th ship date listed for the package. You better get your pre-order in now folks. It’s a great buy when you pice everything separately.

At last! Already released as a series of bundles in the UK, Sony has announced a November release date for the North American 250GB PlayStation 3 Slim. It goes on sale on November 3rd, just in time to gift to yourself for Christmas.

This unit is the same size and shape as the 120GB PlayStation 3 Slim, it just has slightly over double the hard drive space. interestingly, the system seems to be priced a tad lower than its UK counterparts at $349.99.

It’s Breast Cancer Awareness month and to support the search for a cure to breast cancer many companies in the consumer electronic market are offering donations of part of the proceeds from some of the items they sell. The money donated will help support cancer research.

As you might expect most of the electronic devices that are part of the breast cancer awareness push from companies are pink. Sony announced a couple pink products today including the Pink W Series netbook bundle and the Rose Reader Pocket Edition.

Deny everything. That’s Sony’s stance on plans of a 250GB PS3 bundle for the US. Problem is, the rumors just keep on coming. According to Joystiq, the inventory screen shown above is from a supposed Norwegian GameStop employee. It shows five different 250GB PS3 bundles.

Specifically Ratchet & Clank, Assassin’s Creed 2, FIFA 10, Need for Speed: Shift, and Uncharted 2. Prices are apparently the same for each (an $85 increase over the standard 120GB model).

Forget the PS3 Slim. This is the kind of PS3 you want. The only game it plays involves you shoveling cake into your mouth as fast as you can.

The controllers are made from rice crispy treats, so forget mashing buttons, you’ll be mashing your teeth into them like a madman as you slide ever closer to a diabetic coma. And even though this confectionery console may not have a slew of worthwhile games at the moment, the ones it does have are delicious.
