Sony VAIO L all-in-one

The VAIO L all-in-one is a 3D Tv and a Desktop PC. It features a 24-inch 3D multitouch display, a Blu-ray player, a bezel with built-in touch controls, 1080p HD playback, USB 3.0, and an HDMI port.

The system will be available on July 13th for around $1,420, and for that price you also get a wireless keyboard and mouse and one pair of active shutter 3D glasses. Sounds like a good set for your PS3.

Sony VAIO Z21 ultralight arrives early in Europe

Four store listings at Italian online shop F2F have leaked Sony’s plans for an upgraded VAIO Z in Europe. All of them will feature Sandy Bridge Core processors, very fast SSD storage, fingerprint readers, and built-in 3G. Sounds good and the HDMI has also been upgraded to put out 3D video, but that’s not all. The webcam uses the low-light Exmor sensor technology.

The base system will cost you $2,648 equivalent price but with a 2.3GHz Core i5, 4GB of RAM, and a 128GB SSD mated to the Z series’ signature 13.1-inch, 1600×900 display. Of course once you get up to 2.7GHz Core i7 and 256GB SSDs it gets much more expensive at $3,584.

Sony has updated its Vaio S Series notebooks with Intel’s latest Core i5 and Core i7 processors, for a performance boost. It now also comes with an optional battery which Sony says will give you up to 15 hours of battery life. If true, that is pretty sweet.

The Sony Vaio S Series features a 13.3 inch display, and your choice of two Intel Core i5 processor and one Intel Core i7 processor, plus 4GB of RAM standard with the option to upgrade to 8GB. There’s also your choice of hard drives from 320GB up to 750GB or Solid State Drives from 256GB up to 1TB (with 2 x 512GB).

Sony Vaio Slider tablet and ultra-thin notebook teased

At the end of yesterday’s Sony presentation of the S1 and S2 Android tablets, a few slides were displayed showing off a couple more new Sony products, Namely, the “Ultra Mobile” PC and the “Freestyle Hybrid” PC.

The Ultra Mobile PC clearly looks like it is at least a 13-incher or over, while the Freestyle Hybrid PC was rumored as the Sony Vaio Slider, which was said to have a 9.4-inch display, Pine Trail Atom processor and Windows 7 and is due out in the fall, possibly October for $799. Unfortunately, we have no details on these guys yet.

Sony readies MacBook Air rival with Thunderbolt and Chrome OS

The MacBook Air is a real winner thanks to it’s super slim form and great battery life. Sony wants to roll out their own version with a Vaio notebook known as the Hybrid PC. It’s a fast ultralight machine with a Core i7 processor, a Solid State Drive, HDMI 1.4 connectivity and Wi-Di.

The whole package is less than 2.5 pounds. When you this machine, the Hybrid PC will is transformed into a full desktop replacement. Other specs include a Radeon HD 6700M graphics processor, a Blu-ray burner, Ethernet and VGA connections, and a connector that brings together USB with AC power. Battery life without the dock has been rated from 8 to 16.5 hours.

Sony has added a new notebook to its vaio lineup today that falls into that portable category. It is called the Vaio S series. The notebook features a magnesium frame and weighs just 3.8 pounds. The profile is just under an inch thick and it has a battery good for 7.5 hours per charge. It is also the first notebook to have a sheet battery that fits on the bottom and promises to double the running time.

The 13.3-inch screen features a resolution of 1366 x 768 and it can be fitted with an Intel Core i7 CPU at 2.7GHz. Storage is up to 750GB and a 250GB SSD is optional. There is also up to 8GB of RAM and a Radeon HD 6630M GPU inside with hybrid graphics. Pricing starts at $969.99.

Sony ‘S1′ PlayStation gaming tablet

Looks like Sony has been working on a couple of tablets. Come on, you knew they had to get into the game eventually right? The first is a 9.4-inch Android 3.0 tablet known as the “S1″ (codename). Sony has been busy customizing Matias Duarte’s Honeycomb interface to its own specification. And Sony’s work is said to be cutting edge, created by an engineering team spanning Sony’s VAIO, Reader, PlayStation, and Sony Ericsson product groups.

Though the team is lead by the VAIO organization, it will probably launch without VAIO branding. It is also said that Sony’s custom-built transitions and UI elements have created a user experience that sometimes rivals and improves on the iPad’s. The tablet is 100 percent focused on Qriocity, Sony’s music, games, ebooks, and videos on demand service that’s just been launched in Europe.

Sony VAIO Y with AMD Fusion now shipping

If you’ve been drooling over the AMD Fusion Zacate chips, Sony Style is now offering the VAIO Y. Sony Style is offering pink and white models for $600. For that price, you’ll get an 11.6-inch notebook powered by a dual-core E-350 1.6GHz processor, with Windows 7 Home Premium 32-bit running the show.

If you’re looking for something a bit cheaper, Amazon is offering a lower-end model that features 2GB of RAM and 320GB of storage for $50 less. Your wait is over.

Sony MHS-FS3 3D Bloggie Touch Camera available for Pre-Order

The Sony MHS-FS3 3D Bloggie Touch Camera was unveiled at CES 2011 is now available for pre-order. It features a 2.4″ LCD touchscreen and an LED light for taking photographs in low-light situations. With this camera, you can capture 2D or 3D videos which you can play on Sony Bravia 3D HDTVs or the new VAIO F3D laptop.

You can also quickly upload pictures and videos to Facebook, YouTube, Flickr, and Picasa through the USB cable. Great if you are sharing photos constantly. You can find it on Amazon for $249.99.

Sony’s VAIO S notebooks are expensive, so if you want one you may as well be able to customize it right? Right! And so Sony has confirmed that you’ll now be able to customize the system to your specifications, instead of just buying what is offered.

If you have the money, you can add features like a Blu-ray writable drive, a 512MB NVIDIA GeForce 310 graphics card, up to a 256GB SSD and up to 8GB of RAM. Prices for these custom VAIO S models start at $874.99.

Sony VAIO Holiday Signature Collection Laptops bring on the style

Very few laptops pack in the style like these. Sony is offering a few new options in the company’s VAIO lineup. The Holiday Signature Collection includes a few models, including a pink crocodile embossed VAIO P, the return of the gold and black Arabesque design on the VAIO EA, a VAIO Z with infinite stripes, a Bordeaux Red and Glossy Premium Carbon Edition.

There’s also a VAIO Y in Sangria Red, a VAIO X in gold or black, and a gold VAIO J all-in-one desktop. You certainly have choices.

Sony launches new VAIO Y notebook in Japan

Sony has decided to change the display size of its VAIO Y notebooks over in Japan. And they aren’t making them bigger. The company’s new VPCYA19FJ/B model sports an 11.6-inch display instead of the original 13.3-incher, though it still offers 1366 x 768 pixel resolution.

The downsized notebook will hit Japan on November 27th for an unknown price. Some specs include: A 1.33GHz Intel Core i3-380UM processor, 320GB hard drive, 2GB to 8GB of memory, Bluetooth 2.1, Wi-Fi b/g/n, Gigabit Ethernet and an HDMI port.

The Sony VGP-BMS15 Bluetooth laser mouse certainly looks stylish and they go perfectly with your VAIO laptop. The mouse has an interchangeable form-fitting cover that adds to it’s good looks.

Sony updates VAIO E, F, L with new CPUs, graphics

Sony has upgraded PC lineup with some speed and option upgrades across some models. The VAIO E series gets most of the updates: options for the faster 2.66GHz Core i5 580M and 2.53GHz Core i5 460M, and a new 2GHz Pentium dual-core option for build-to-order models.

The EA and EB now have options for Mobility Radeon HD 5650 video and 1080p displays, while every E series gets purple as a color choice. The VAIO F gets a visual performance upgrade with the newer GeForce GT 425M and a single USB 3.0 port.

Sony has a new website that will let you customize your new Vaio notebook with all kinds of colors. You can customize the keyboard, outer shell and even the mouse and laptop sleeve in variety of different colors.

The custom colors are only available for the Vaio E series notebooks, but maybe Sony will offer the service to other models in their Vaio range in the near future. So if you get a new Vaio, color that bad boy up.
