Dell’s “Adamo” could be lighter, thinner than MacBook Air

Posted in Dell by Conner Flynn on December 18th, 2008

Dell’s “Adamo” could be lighter, thinner than MacBook AirHave a look at this teaser site and while you’re at it, this site. Looks like Dell has a laptop coming that could be both lighter and thinner than the MacBook Air. A Dell that is sleek? Is that possible? Apparently.

Tatelman, Dell’s VP of consumer sales and marketing seems to have given it away, when asked about whether or not Dell had an Air-like product in store. Tatelman’s reaction? His “mouth gaped open and his eyes darted away from my face”. Tatelman then said:
“I think we need to get some iconic products out there, so people associate Dell’s brand with other things.” That would be goodbye to clunky, and hello to sleek.

Ultra slim Digit MP3 player concept

Posted in Concepts by Conner Flynn on December 9th, 2008

Ultra slim Digit MP3 player conceptLisbon based Portuguese designer Nuno Teixeira designed this ultra slim Digit MP3 Player concept. It’s user friendly and comes with a wireless stereo headset and 20GB of built-in memory. Design-wise it’s a thing of beauty. And it does away with wires completely.

Just look at those sleek curves and soft, shiny surfaces. Plus it’s slimmer then a model who just went to powder her nose and lose her dinner. It’s damn sexy, that’s what it is. Too bad it’s only a concept right now. But it will happen soon enough as the wireless headset thing is already here. We just need more of this kinda sexy.

A Canadian citizen named Adam Guerbuez with his company Atlantic Blue Capital used different types earlier this year to trick Facebook users into thinking they had messages from other Facebook “friends”. New LG XPION R20, S20 Core 2 Quad desktopsLG announced two new premium desktop models that will be released under LG’s XPION brand. The specs that we have so far don’t seem to details so far don’t seem to match the “premium” claim, but maybe we will get more specs soon. One thing is for sure, those sleek cases are sexy as hell.

The XPION R20 features a 2 Core Quad Q8200 processor, with 3GB of RAM and a GeForce 9500GS graphics card. You’ll also get a new cooling system based on Multi Direction Platform Cooling (MDPC), which means it will be pretty quiet. Silverstone introduces the carbon fiber Raven gaming mouse

Posted in Computer Components, gaming accessories by Shane McGlaun on October 7th, 2008

Silverstone Raven Gaming MouseI have covered a myriad of gaming mice here over the months and one thing most all gaming mice have in common is that they are all wired. Gamers don’t really want wireless products because of the lag they introduce. A new gaming mouse from a name that computer enthusiasts will probably recognize is now available.

The mouse is called the Silverstone Raven. Raven has adjustable sensitivity from 400 to 3200 DPI and connects to the PC via a USB cord. Adjustments to sensitivity are made with the rotating thumb button on the side. 3200 DPI isn’t as high a resolution you can find in gaming mice, the Razer Lachesis will do 4000 DPI, but 3200 is enough for most gamers.

Fido unveils pink Nokia 3500

Posted in Nokia by Conner Flynn on October 2nd, 2008

Fido unveils pink Nokia 3500The Nokia 3500 is now available in pink from Fido, even though it doesn’t look all that pink. Not really that big of a deal. The pink is limited to the direction pad and keypad which light up. The pinkified Nokia 3500 will cost the same as the regular version of the 3500: $15 a month with a 3-year contract, $90 for a 2-year contract, $100 standalone phone. Probably a good phone for those girls who want to be all Sex in the City.

It features a 2 megapixel camera, music player and built-in FM radio, Bluetooth connectivity, tri-band GSM support and a microSD memory card slot. Also has Handsfree speaker, Voice commands, calendar, to-do list, notes, countdown timer, stopwatch and calculator. Just a bit of pink. Nothing to see here. Move along.

Slim Trim Razor shaves accurately

Posted in Home by Conner Flynn on September 28th, 2008

Slim Trim Razor shaves accuratelyThe Slim Trim razor is for those who are so obsessed about getting an accurate shave that they use all manner of tools like calipers, compasses, sextants, slide rules and write all sorts of facts and figures down in a shaving journal. “September 18th. Today I realized that the calculations on my beard were off by a fraction of an centimeter, thereby throwing my soul patch off it’s game. I believe I veered to far off course to the west, but unlike Columbus I did not discover America. I discovered that Chicks don’t seem to like my facial features either way, hair or no hair. Tonight I will course correct and account for shaving cream density, then I will update my calculations. Yours truly, Metrosexual.”

Seriously, first off you’re only gonna cut yourself twice as much with this thing. And being so concerned about an accurate shave that you need to buy this, is putting way too much time and effort into shaving. A true man knows how to rock a shave that will get the ladies without the aid of gadgets. This thing might be good for getting creative in punk rock sorts of ways, but that’s about it.

Ferrari V4 Superbike concept

Posted in Automotive by Conner Flynn on September 24th, 2008

Ferrari V4 Superbike conceptSomething just had sex with my eyes and it’s the Ferrari V4 Superbike concept, but instead of having a smoke and cuddling I made a lame excuse and left so I could tell you all about it. This has to be the absolute best attempt at a Ferrari motorcycle. The concept is the work of Israeli designer Amir Glinik, who based his design around the theoretical application of the Ferrari Enzo’s V12 engine, chopped down to four cylinders and modified to drive just one wheel in a motorcycle.

Glinik’s design has a sleek shape that is futuristic, but thoroughly ridable and it catches your attention like a long-legged blonde in a room full of Ugly Bettys. Glinik even planned out the controls, blending elements from an F-16 fighter jet and the high-tech Formula One steering wheel. It even sports a weatherproof touch-screen LCD on the fuel tank. This is one that I think anybody would want to see built.

Memorex miniMOVE Boombox, purse thing for iPod

Posted in iPod Accessories by Conner Flynn on September 21st, 2008

Memorex miniMOVE Boombox, purse thing for iPodAt first glance you might think that Memorex has updated those old portable 8-Track players, you know the one’s with the handles from back in the day… Okay, they kinda have. The 8-Track cassette tape is now an iPod, but otherwise it’s pretty much the same deal. The Memorex miniMOVE Boombox for iPod resembles a purse and is obviously aimed at the ladies as a fashion accessory.

The portable boombox can go anywhere thanks to it’s innovative and retro handle technology. It’s powered by AA batteries or AC/DC. It’s even got a built in FM radio, backlit LCD display, and wireless remote. Comes in Pink, Black, Teal, or Silver and retails for $49.99. This is just the sort of odd and stupid thing that some Sex and the City character would have with her on-screen, thereby making it a hit and making every other Lemming follow suit. Am I wrong? What do you think girls? Would you buy this?
