Nikita Buyanov made a bunch of concept laptops for HP-Intel, custom made specifically for women. The laptops come with a range of interesting features, aimed at the fairer sex. There’s some crazy stuff. Like laptops that double as weighing machines, some that carry makeup, with features like mirror mode and a built-in on-nail printing device. The Chameleon, for instance, changes color to blend with its surroundings.

The one that would likely be most offensive to women is pictured above, HP Makeup. It’s obscenely pink and if you press the big button, the screen will change to mirror mode so they can apply makeup. It also has an on-nail printing device.

Do people actually find Betty Boop sexy? I just don’t get it. But hey, whatever floats your cartoon boat. Fans of the animated bombshell can now get her likeness on a Samsung phone. Samsung has introduced the Betty Boop edition phone in France.

The phone features the cartoon seductress all over, and is apparently aimed at sad men and younger girls, which are the same thing. It will cost you 129 Euros and some ho-hum specs include: GSM/GPRS/EDGE connectivity, 65K colors display, MP3 player, FM radio, VGA camera, MicroSD card slot, Talk time: up to 3 hours, Stand-by time: up to 192 hours.

UK car customization shop Carcomputer has uploaded some information and images of what may be the next generation of the Nanovision USB-driven Mimo monitor. The specifications look like they are the same as its predecessor, featuring a 7″ LED-backlit display at 800 x 480 resolution, but the newly designed case makes it stand out from the crowd.

You won’t have to worry about chunky and cheap-looking glossy plastic anymore, as these are slender matte black and silver. Plus they can collapsible and be stowed away in a bag so that your panel will stay scratch-free while traveling.

The GH1 is looking seriously sexy in red and will be available April 24 in Asia for about ¥150,000. That’s roughly $1,500, which is a bit steep. It may be cheaper when it hits our shores, but that’s still a disappointing price.

The GH1′s video capture mode (The only thing that’s really different from its predecessor, the G1) does things that many others, like Nikon and Canon can’t: the cinema-friendly 24fps framerate at 1080p (60fps at 720p), as well as continuous contrast-based autofocus with a silent-focusing lens.

At CES this year the big focus wasn’t on huge screens as it had been in the past years, but on how thin LCD and other types of TVs could be. There were some very thin TVs being shown at the show that looked pretty sexy. I still say that the only reason someone would care how thin their TV was is if they are wall mounting the set.

Samsung has announced that it is now in production with its energy efficient edge-lit LED backlit LCD panels. The panels are being produced in 40-inch, 46-inch, and 55-inch sizes for ultra thin big screen TVs. The screens are only 10.8mm thick according to Samsung.

Well hello hotness. What’s not to love about the new Xbox 360 dev kit unveiled at this week’s Game Developers Conference and due out in the summer? It’s ultra-sexy with its sleek black-and-blue tint finish and stylish etchings. It also features 1GB of RAM, twice what is found in the retail model.

The idea of hackers bringing down the entire US power grid is scary. Most people think that this scenario strictly belongs in sci-fi movies and that it couldn’t happen, but according to security analysts, the threat is real. The threat is a real possibility due to the use of smart grids involving two million devices, which are largely wireless, sending data back and forth between power stations and homes.

Researchers at Seattle based IOActive claim that they have proven that the devices are vulnerable to virus attack by hacking. Equipment worth just $500 was enough to create a worm virus which spread rapidly across the network. Had that been a real hacker, there would have been some serious damage.

3G routers aren’t new, even though many of us don’t have one. Those who do own one don’t have any this good looking. Ericsson must have finally seen the light and realized that these devices don’t have to look ugly. The Ericsson W30 Data Router and Ericsson W35 Data and Voice Router just slipped past the FCC, and they do indeed look sexy.

They can get HSPA / UMTS / GSM data and toss it out over WiFi and Ethernet. They can also share a USB printer. The W35 adds voice and fax capability. No word on price or availability. Mostly we’re just excited to see a router this nice looking.

LEDit is a led screen ticker emulator app available for both the iPhone and iPod Touch. It seems pretty silly at first, but when you think about it, it’s a pretty useful tool to have. Whether you’re in a noisy place like a nightclub or a silent place like library, you can use it to send others a message instead of yelling or whispering.

Just type in the message and hit the “display message” button and LEDit will scroll the message on the screen. It even vibrates to tell you when message has finished scrolling. You can customize text color, speed and set it to repeat.

Anyone who owns a TV, knows how to read, or listens to the radio knows that the global economy sucks today and will continue to be poor for most of 2009 and possibly into 2010 depending on whom you listen to. That means that all sorts of retailers are having a hard time with many of the largest electronics and computer firms announcing major losses and layoffs.

The reason for the continued growth of the netbook market is simple — the machines are cheap. The average netbook sells for under $400 and offers portability and battery life that makes working on the road less of a chore for many users.

Psystar might be in the middle of a court battle with Apple over the use of the Apple Mac OS X operating system, but that didn’t stop the Mac clone company from releasing a brand new Open Computer model on Tuesday.

The new model, the Open (3), will be “Smaller, Faster and Sexier” and includes Intel’s E7400 Core2Duo processor running at 2.8GHz, which is over 50% faster than the previous processor. They’ve phased out the mini-tower and opted for a “slim form-factor” that is 47% smaller.

The Nextar MA809 is a super skinny and sexy portable media player that measures just 0.25 inches thin. To put it in perspective, that’s almost half the iPhone 3G. It sports a 2.8-inch display (400 x 240 resolution), and an integrated voice recorder.

The Nextar MA809 also supports MP3/WMA audio files, JPEG/BMP/GIF picture files, and AVI video files. There’s also an FM radio in there. The 2GB model retails for around $100, while the 8GB version retails for $149. It will be available in the second quarter of 2009.

As usual the Japanese have scored something before us. In this case they have an exclusive on this new multi-touch Studio One 19 PC from Dell, which looks kinda sexy. The All-in-One “entertainment PC” comes in a bunch of colors to match your life with specs that include a Core 2 Quad processor, 4GB of memory, 750GB hard disk, 6x USB, integrated 1.3 megapixel webcam, and NVIDIA GeForce 9400 graphics, and a Blu-ray player.

The 18.5 inch display has a 1,366 x 768 aspect ratio with touch or non-touch glass panels. Prices start at about $699 and it will launch in other countries later this spring.

These Revio programmable light switches by FirstHand Design are simply awesome. They allow light switches to finally show a sexy side. The panel boasts eight program buttons, power button, dim/bright control, infrared receiver, program from iCAN network, flash memory, panel ‘clean’ switch and more.

It’s possible to have all kinds of configurations and re-programming for light settings. You could also have your choice of icons and text languages included in the design. Plus it’s easy to clean. It’s a great design whose time has come.

Vodafone has just pulled the HTC Magic out of their hat in their MWC 2009 press conference. And yes it is much sexier than T-Mobile’s G1. It features a 3.2-inch HVGA screen front and center, HDSPA, GPS, 3.2 megapixel camera (no flash), and a G1-style trackball. Details on pricing and availability will be unveiled for local Vodafone markets soon, but pricing in Spain will be from 99 to 199 Euro, depending on contract.

It will be available first in the UK, Spain, Germany, France and Italy, with more countries to follow later. Oddly, the phone has a proprietary headphone jack, but hey, it ships with a touchscreen keyboard and is running Cupcake.
