Elecom faucet iPad/iPhone stand

Posted in iPhone Accessories by Reuben Drake on August 4th, 2011

This sexy Elecom stand designed by Nendo is pretty unusual and cool. It’s not very practical, but at least it looks stylish. It’s made from polycarbonate and ABS faucet parts and is designed to look like a faucet with water flowing out of it.

It will be available in clear, black, blue and white, but there is no word price or the availability. It is certainly unique.

Sonic the Hedgehog cake

Posted in Games by Reuben Drake on June 27th, 2011

It’s been awhile since we featured a cool geeky cake and this one qualifies. Makes me hungry just looking at it. If I could, I would run circles around this cake like Sonic himself as I gobbled up those rings, that icing and all the rest of it.

And I wouldn’t share. This would strictly be a one player game. It would be delicious. Sega-licious.

New Verizon LG Revolution Pics

Posted in LG by Conner Flynn on May 18th, 2011

The LG Revolution from Verizon Wireless will be launching on May 26 and now we have the first real images that have surfaced online. It will feature Bing as the default search engine and run on Verizon’s 4G LTE network. You can see the lock screen and that smooth new black cover in the above image.

We aren’t sure if we prefer the black cover to the silver back that was on display at CES, but either way it looks sexy. And if you are interested in the packaging, it will look nearly identical to that of the HTC Thunderbolt.

We were already excited about the NEC MEDIAS N-06C last month, but now that we see just how thin this thing is, we may end up shaving with it too. The device will arrive in June or July and it is also waterproof for those days at the beach.

This 7.9mm-thick Android 2.3 phone features a 4-inch 854 x 480 LCD, a 1GHz Qualcomm MSM8255, 512MB RAM, 802.11b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth, and microSDHC expansion. It looks pretty sexy.

HP outs Elite L2201x super slim 22-inch monitor

Posted in HP by Reuben Drake on May 10th, 2011

Are you looking for a slim monitor? How does a 22-incher sound? That’s the screen size, not the slimness. The Elite L2201x LED-backlit display measures just 0.4-inches thick. It features a 1920 x 1080 display, 5000:1 contrast ratio, and a DisplayPort.

It may not be the slimmest screen ever offered, but it looks pretty sexy and it’s just $250, which isn’t bad at all. The Elite L2201x arrives in the US on June 1st.

Sony announces S1 and S2 dual-screen Honeycomb tablets

Posted in Sony by Conner Flynn on April 26th, 2011

Sony has announced a pair of Android 3.0 tablets. The first is the 9.4-inch S1 media tablet (also known as the Qriocity focused) with a curved top similar to a folded book or magazine with both front and rear cameras. The S1 features a Tegra 2 SoC and customized “Quick and Smooth” touch panel UI with “Swift” web browser. As a bonus, it can also be used as a remote for your Sony gadgets, which is handy.

The dual-screen device looks like a sexed up 3DS. That’s the S2, which features a pair of 5.5-inch 1,024 x 480 pixel displays, Tegra 2 SoC, and a camera. It uses a custom book-style UI layout for the e-reader app, email and others. Both are PlayStation Certified and are WiFi and 3G/4G “compatible”. I can’t wait to see what Sony does with gaming on a tablet. How will these interact with the PS3? We should see a release in the fall, maybe sooner.

Wireless Hyper Touch Guitar

Posted in Concepts by Conner Flynn on March 27th, 2011

The Wireless Hyper Touch Guitar was delivered to our time by some roadie aliens from a distant future, in order to rock our world….Actually it’s just a concept, but a damn sexy one, from Max Battaglia. It has a sleek and sexy exterior, but the awesome part is its wireless/stringless neck and fretboard.

It doesn’t use steel strings, instead it has a multi touch screen that has a bunch of modular features. So the player can adjust the guitar according to his/her own wants/needs. We hope this one becomes a reality very soon.

Dolby announces lighter and more stylish 3D Glasses

Posted in 3D by Conner Flynn on March 21st, 2011

When you watch 3D movies in the theater, the glasses are heavy and uncomfortable. Dolby has a new solution and has just announced this newer and lighter pair of 3D glasses. They will also come with anti-theft measures and an RFID tag for inventory control purposes.

Theater owners will also be happy to know that the thinner lenses can be washed and reused hundreds of times. They are $12 each and are cheaper when purchased in bulk. Though they won’t improve the quality of a movie script or lower ticket prices.

Cubitek Tank Series PC Gaming Cases

Posted in PCs by Conner Flynn on March 15th, 2011

Cubitek has launched a new range of gaming PC cases, which they are calling the ‘Tank Series’. The three different models are the XL Tank, the HPTX Tank and the Mini Tank. The name is very appropriate as these new PC gaming cases are made from black hairline-brushed anodized aluminum and looks like a tank.

Each is capable of using high end graphics cards, and all three come with USB 3.0 ports, e-SATA and HD+AC97 Audio. They are built for “silence, functionality, and sexiness”. What do you think? Are they sexy?

Fiskar 88 headphone amplifier concept

Posted in Headphones by Reuben Drake on March 10th, 2011

Fiskar’s 88 headphone amplifier is designed by Edouard Urcadez. It features a unique and sexy form factor, large volume / tone knobs, and a variety of rear outputs. There’s no specifications since it is just a concept, but we don’t care what it’s packing. We just want one.

We can only hope that it actually gets made in real life. It’s too awesome looking not to make a reality. What do you think? Should they offer this one to the public? Or not?

Sony PS2 handheld mod looks awesome

Posted in DIY by Conner Flynn on February 24th, 2011

This PS2 handheld looks pretty amazing. It was created by modder techknott. Sadly this PlayStation 2 handheld was made for a client, not for you or I. Interestingly, as good as this thing looks, it doesn’t have a built-in battery pack. (It cuts down on cost).

Still, it’s pretty awesome and very mobile. And downright sexy as far as PS2′s go. Techknott did a great job. If you ask nicely, he might even make you one of these bad boys.

Silver Satin PS3 hits Japan on March 10th

As usual, you get the same specs, with the 160GB model CECH-2500A SS selling for ¥29,980 (about $366) while the 320GB CECH-2500B SS is ¥34,980 (about $427). It even has a matching vertical stand for ¥2,000 (about $24) if you like your PS3 vertical.

Econut concept iPad case made from coconut fibers

Posted in Concepts by Conner Flynn on January 27th, 2011

Out of all the cases we have seen for the iPad, none of them have been made from coconuts before. The Econut iPad case concept is an iPad protective cover with a slim keyboard that works over Bluetooth.

The design is pretty sexy and sleek. It’s crazy. It’s nuts. Coconuts that is. What’s next? An iPad case made from banana skins? Wouldn’t surprise us one bit. I wonder what the texture would be like.
